INFOTAINMENT ’17

The Department of Networking conducted 1stInfotainment Association Meet on 24.07.2017. It was organised by III Year B.Sc NETWORKING students. The session was started with the prayer song. Mr.P.Srinivasan of III B.Sc NETWORKING welcomed the gathering. Our Vice Principal MR.K.Archunan, Inaugurated the meet with his wonderful speech. The Head of the Department MR.M.Athigopal introduced the   Guest of Honour Mr.S.Sekar, Associate Professor- RLIMS . Our Chief Guest delivered wonderful inspirational speech, which motivated the students. He also shared his success story and also interacted with the students. The students cleared their doubts through the interaction.

The students of IInd& IIIrd year B.Sc.Networking has conducted game events for the Ist Year students. The students exposed their talents through various events and got prizes for the events. The vote of thanks was given by M.Janani of II B.Sc Networking and the meet ended with the National Anthem.

VALUE ADDED COURSE – RHCSA

From 17.07.2017 to 22.07.2017, Department Of Networking has organized Value Added Course on “RHCSA – Redhat Certified System Administrator” for II B.Sc Networking students. The Training was handled by the trainer Mr.V Sarathkumar, Redhat Certified Technical Trainer, Vectra Technosoft Pvt.Ltd, Chennai.17 students got benefitted

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING ON “HARDWARE AND NETWORKING”

27th & 28th April 2017, Department of Networking organized 2 days Professional Training On “Hardware And Networking” for +2 students. 60 Students were participated from various places like Pondicherry, Salem, Dindigul, Tirunelveli, Theni, Virudhunagar and Madurai.

The Day1 session was started with the prayer song and welcome address given by Ms.M.Janani, II BSC Networking. Our Principal, Dr.R.L.Ramnath Inaugurated the Professional Training Programme with his wonderful speech. Mr.K.Archunan,Vice-Principal given speech about scope of Networking job opportunities. Mr.M.Athigopal, HoD (i/c), Department of Networking gave an introduction about the Programme.

On the first day morning and afternoon session the students of II and III B.Sc Networking were taught with the following concepts, “Introduction to the networking “was handled by M.Kirubaharan, B.Vinoth. “Basics of Network Devices” was handled by M.N.Arunkumar, E.Arunachalam and K.Sarumathi presented a video about “PC Assembling and De-Assembling”. The students were trained with PC Hardware Devices & PC Assembling. The students learnt Assembling & De- Assembling of PC practically & they also participated in the Contest.

On the second day morning Interactive session was handled by Mr. M. Avinash Kannan, Analyst, HCl, Chennai, explained about the Career & Job Opportunities in Networking. The trainer cleared the doubts of their queries. The afternoon session take over by Mr.Nijanthan, CEO, SN IT Solutions, Madurai, demonstrate and explained the working principles of Laptop with Live Laptop troubleshooting demo session for the students.

The participants were taken for a campus tour around the college campus. Certificates were given for the participants. Prizes for PC Assembling and De–Assembling contest and Timeline contest were given for the winners. Vote of thanks was given by Mr.M.Athigopal, HoD (i/c), Department of Networking. The program came to an end with National Anthem

5th INFOTAINMENT ASSOCIATION MEET-2k16

The Department of IT & Networking conducted 5th Infotainment Association Meet on 13.12.2016. It was organised by II Year B.Sc IT & NETWORKING students. The session was started with the prayer song by K.Sarumathi of I B.Sc Networking. Mr.K.Vijayaragavan of II B.Sc NETWORKING welcomed the gathering. Our Principal DR.R.L.Ramnath, Inaugurated the meet with his wonderful speech. The Vice-Principal, MR.K.Archunan, felicitated the association meet. The Head of the Department MR.C.Ranjith Kumar introduced the   guest of Honour Mr.Senthil Kumar, CEO, KALVI INSTITUTE PVT LTD, MADURAI. Our Chief Guest delivered wonderful inspirational speech, which motivated the students. He also shared his success story and also interacted with the students. The students cleared their doubts through the interaction.

The students of I B.Sc.Networking J.Nandha kumar and V.Gowtham has presented a paper on Network Cablings and S.Natraj Sharma and R.Joan Joseph Rexith from I B.Sc.IT presented a paper on Technology innovation. The students exposed their talents through various events and got prizes for the events. The vote of thanks was given by R.Ajith Kumar of II B.Sc IT and the meet ended with the National Anthem.

WORLD POPULATION DAY

The Department of IT & Networking organized WORLD POPULATION DAY on 11thJuly,2016.The session was started with the prayer song. E.Arunachalam of II B.Sc Networking welcomed the gathering. Our venerated Vice Principal Mr.K.Archunan inaugurated the event with his views about population. He said that if population increases, the need of food is also increased. So the production of yield also must be increased.

Mr.C.Ranjith Kumar Head of the Department of IT & Networking delivered Felicitation address through his informative speech. He also said that because of excess population, young generations are without jobs. Then, M.Kirubakaran of II B.Sc Networking illustrated the causes for the population by highlighting the point “illiterate is the main reason for rapid population growth”.

M.N.Arun Kumar of II B.Sc Networking provided a statistical report about population by saying that the China is the most populated country in the world. R.Thirunavukarasu of II B.Sc IT explained about the population growth & their impacts through some video clippings. Vote of thanks has been delivered by A.Muthu Shenbaga Leela of III B.Sc Networking. The event has been concluded with the National Anthem.

International Drug Abusing Day – 27th June 2016

The Department of IT & Networking organized INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE on 27th June 2016.The session was started with the prayer song. Ms. D.Muthu Abinaya of II B.Sc Networking welcomed the gathering. Our adored Vice Principal Mr.K.Archunan inaugurated the event with his views about drugs. He made the students understood that drugs are injurious to health & he also said that most of the teenagers are consuming drugs nowadays. He also advised the students not to consume it.

Mr.C.Ranjith Kumar Head of the Department of IT & Networking delivered Special address through his clear and enlightening speech. He also said about the drug use by the people in day today life with examples such as Ephidrine & Acitaminophine. Then, M.Kirubakaran of II B.Sc Networking provided a statistical report about various disadvantages of drugs. Mainly he highlighted that the highest drukers are living in Mizoram.

K.Aravindhan of III B.Sc Networking explained the students view about the consumption of drugs through an audio clipping. The students and staffs took pledge on drug abuse as “I hereby my concern over the growing drug problem among the people in the world and pledge my support to speak out publicly whenever possible to encourage all people to find out the truth about drugs and make their own decisions to be drug-free environment”.

Workshop on PC to Network

On 12th & 13th May 2016, Department of IT & Networking organized 2 days “Workshop on PC to Network” for +2 students. 176 Students from various places like Chennai, Kadalur, Pondicherry, Madurai, Sivakasi, Sivagangai were participated.

The Day1 session was started with the prayer song & lightening of Kuthuvizhaku. Mr.C.Ranjith Kumar, HoD, Department of IT & Networking Welcomed the gathering. Our Principal, Dr.R.L.Ramnath Inaugurated the workshop with his wonderful speech. Mr.M.Athigopal, Asst.Professor, Dept of IT & Networking gave an introduction about the workshop. The students were trained with PC Hardware Devices & PC Assembling. The students learnt Assembling & De- Assembling of PC practically & they also participated in the Contest. Mr.C.Ranjith Kumar delivered a speech on “IT Infrastructure Industry”.

On the second day, the participants were taught with the following concepts, System Configuration by Mr.K.G.Bala Krishnan (III B.Sc Networking), Network types & Network Devices by Mr.Prawin Kumar (III B.Sc Networking), Cloud Computing by Mr.T.Thulasiram & Mr.Sasi Kumar (III B.Sc Networking), Network Timeline Contest was conducted by Mr.Aravindhan, Mr.Bala Murugan & Mr.Karthick Raja (III B.Sc Networking).

Mr.M.Avinash kannan, Technical Support Engineer, Power Centre Pvt., Ltd Chennai, explained about the Career & Job Opportunities in Networking. The participants cleared their queries.

Workshop on Self Motivation and Personality Development

Two Days workshop for IT & Networking students was conducted on 22nd & 23rd February 2016. Mrs. S.Gomathi Krishnan, Trainer, Ford India Ltd, Chennai was handled the workshop. She trained the students about Trained about the attitude, Psychological factors & its impacts, Meditation and its effects ,Self Evaluation, Aim Fixing ,intuition, Memory – Conscious & Unconcious.Through this workshop the students developed their personality, skills and got motivated. The students learnt so many psychological factors by the scenarios explained by Mrs.Gomathi Krishnan. She gave so many activities to the students and her motivational speech inspired the students.

Seminar on Algorithm

  On 17th February, 2016, Dr. Anil Maheswari, Professor in School of Computer science,  Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada gave a lecture on “ALGORITHMS” in Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai.

He gave a talk on Algorithms and detailed explanation about sorting,searching.The participants were B.Sc Computer Science ,B.Sc IT & B.Sc Networking students of SLCS and B.E Nautical Science cadets of RLINS.

He also explained the admission procedure followed by the Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.Normally the university admits the PG degree course (i.e) M.Sc CS to the students who have completed 4 years degree programme.

And in the process of selection,universities in the United States of  America prefer those students who have good communication  and  leadership skills.

Principal RLINS Mr. M.Subramaniam, Management Executive Shri. R.Ramkumar, Mr. Subash Chandra Nandy and Principal SLCS Dr. R.L.Ramnath are keenly observing the programme.

Workshop on Smart Searching Techniques

Mr.R.Ananda Prabhu from Transnative demonstrated many smart searching Techniques to the IT & Networking Students on 08.02.16.He explained the logics such as Boolean Logic, Truncation, Wildcard, Phrase Searching and Nesting. In the Morning session, different searching techniques were taught to the students theoretically and in the afternoon session the students implemented those techniques practically. The importance & benefits of Smart Search Techniques are clearly explained .Through this workshop, the students come to know about various online jobs in the market through this Smart Search Techniques.
