On 17^th July 2018, Department of Networking organized “NET KINGS”-ASSOCIATION MEET 2K18 for 2^nd and 3^rd year students. The session was started with the prayer song. Welcome speech by R. Bharathan III B.SC Networking. Dr. K. Aruchunan, Vice principal, gave an Inaugural Address. Mr. M. Athigopal, Head of Department, Department of Networking gave an introduction about the Association Meet.

Students from second and third year made a presentation on current affairs about “BIT COINS” by K. Lingeswaran, II B.SC Networking and Technical Talk in “DELETE YOURSELF” by J. Nandha Kumar, III B.Sc. Networking. It was about the social media awareness.

The New Secretaries, Mr. J. Nandha kumar [16913] III B.SC Networking and Mr. P. Prasana Kumar [17927] of II B.Sc Networking were selected by our faculty and announce in the gathering.

The program was successfully completed with Vote of Thanks  delivered by S.Pavithra II B.Sc Networking.

The Bridge course was conducted for the students of I B.Sc Networking from 02/07/18 to 07/07/18. The students were given basic training on their subjects included in Semester I. The student strength of I B.Sc Networking is 31. The bridge course was conducted for them. The students got the basic knowledge in the subjects such as Applied Mathematics for life, Technical Terms of networking, Basics of Networking devices, Tamil and Basics of Communication skills.

Some students completed their schooling in Tamil medium. Those students were given training in basic grammar such as tenses, active and passive voices, direct and indirect speeches. Also, the training given in Tamil language was useful for the students those who completed their schooling in English medium. The students from non computer science background were given training on how to network with devices. The basic concept of computers such as generations of computers, types of computers, functional units of computers were taught for them. Eventually, the students got basic knowledge in their subjects.

The training reduces the gap between the schooling and college and was useful for the students to get knowledge in their subjects and to know college rules and all.

On 04th May 2018, Department of Networking organized 1 day “Professional Training onHardware and Networking” for +2 students. 20 Students from various places like Madurai, Theni, Sivagangai were participated. The session was started with the prayer song.Mr.M.Athigopal, HoD, Dept of Networking gave an introduction about the workshop.
Mr.S.Satheesh Kumar, Business Head,Winways Infomatics Pvt Ltd, Madurai, explained about the Career & Job Opportunities in Networking. His brief explanation made everyone to understand about networking industries and cleared their queries.Mr.B.Nijanthan, CEO, SN IT Solutions, Madurai, has explained the troubleshooting laptop,
and gave live demonstration to assemble, disassemble and troubleshooting of Laptops. The students were divided into teams each team work on laptops, they practice to troubleshoot it. The students were trained with PC Hardware Devices & PC Assembling.The students learnt Assembling & De- Assembling of PC practically & they also participated in the Contest. Finally Our Principal Dr.P.Saravanan thanked all the parents,students and faculty members and Certificate with Best performance awards were distributed to all the participants.Vote of thanks given by B.Lakshmipriya II B.Sc Networking.

From 23.11.2017 to 28.11.2017, Department Of  Networking has organized Value Added Course on “MTA – Database Fundamentals” for II B.Sc Networking students. The Training was handled by the trainer Mr.P.Vasu Senior Technical Trainer, Falcon System & Services, Chennai.18 students got benefitted.

From 20.11.2017 to 24.11.2017, Department Of Networking has organized Value Added Course on “MTA – Microsoft Technology Associate Windows 10” for II B.Sc Networking students. The Training was handled by the trainer Mr.Keerthivasan Technical Trainer, Vectra Technosoft Pvt.Ltd, Chennai.17 students got benefitted.

The Department Of Networking conducted an Extension Activities on “PC Assembling and Disassembling” in Government Higher Secondary School, Parapathi. The welcome address was given by D. Muthu Abinaya of 3^rd Year Networking. Inauguration speech is given by the Head Misters Mrs. Chitrakalamani in the event. The   Head of the Department Mr.M.Athigopal gave introduction speech about the event. Our students were taking classes to the Computer Science students about PC Assembling and Disassembling using Laptop and PowerPoint Presentation. The practical classes were given to the students. The Vote of thanks was given to the students by M. Janani of 2^nd Year Networking. The session ended with National Anthem.

From 17.08.2017 to 23.08.2017, Department Of Networking has organized Value Added Course on “Comptia N+” for I B.Sc Networking students. The Training was handled by the trainer Mr.V Sarathkumar, Redhat Certified Technical Trainer, Vectra Technosoft Pvt.Ltd, Chennai. 37 students got benefitted.

From 25.07.2017 to 31.07.2017, Department Of Networking has organized Value Added Course on “CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate” for III B.Sc Networking students. The Training was handled by the trainer Mr.V Sarathkumar, Redhat Certified Technical Trainer, Vectra Technosoft Pvt.Ltd, Chennai.18 students got benefitted.

On 28.07.2017 Thursday 17 students of 2^nd Year Networking went on Industrial Visit to Solar Power Station at Kaalaiyar Kovil in Sivagangai District. We learnt the working process of the solar cells in the panel, generating the power and transmitting the power generated to a power grid. They explained the cost and requirements of building a solar power station and amount of power transmitted to power grid

The Department of Networking conducted 1^stInfotainment Association Meet on 24.07.2017. It was organised by III Year B.Sc NETWORKING students. The session was started with the prayer song. Mr.P.Srinivasan of III B.Sc NETWORKING welcomed the gathering. Our Vice Principal MR.K.Archunan, Inaugurated the meet with his wonderful speech. The Head of the Department MR.M.Athigopal introduced the   Guest of Honour Mr.S.Sekar, Associate Professor- RLIMS . Our Chief Guest delivered wonderful inspirational speech, which motivated the students. He also shared his success story and also interacted with the students. The students cleared their doubts through the interaction.

The students of IInd& IIIrd year B.Sc.Networking has conducted game events for the Ist Year students. The students exposed their talents through various events and got prizes for the events. The vote of thanks was given by M.Janani of II B.Sc Networking and the meet ended with the National Anthem.
