ZEAL (BBA Association) in collaboration with IQAC&IPR cell of SubbalakshmiLakshmipathy College of Science organized a “Seminar on IPR” on 23.08.2019. Mr.K.R.Gnanasambandan, Chairman, MADITSSIA Foundation Trust was invited as the resource person. The resource person highlighted the basics, scope and challenges of IPR (Intellectual Property Rights). He also pointed out some interesting examples from India related to IPR. The students were motivated to come out with interesting innovations and contribute towards the economic development of our nation.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity at Government Kallar Higher Secondary School, K.Puliyankulam, Madurai District on 15.07.2019. Students were sensitized on the latest social issues and effective means of tackling it. 116^th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister and freedom fighter K.Kamaraj was also celebrated. Students were motivated to participate in various activities like debate, elocution, essay writing, poem writing and skit. Prizes were distributed to the winners. This helped in boosting their self confidence and esteem.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized an Exposure Visit to SNP Dairy Unit on 29.06.2019. The logistics and Supply Chain operations related to the procurement of raw milk to the dispatch of milk packets and the related byproducts were explained in detail. The students also witnessed the production process. The visit was really useful and very informative to the students.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized a debate on “Management on water crisis” on 22.06.2019. Water scarcity has become a critical issue in our country. Students actively participated in the debate highlighting the role to be played by the public and the government. Interesting and feasible remedial measures were also explained by the students.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized a Seminar on “Challenges and opportunities in Logistics sector” on 22.06.2019. The resource person was Dr.G.R.Balakrishnan, Educationalist. Students got an opportunity to know about the latest developments in the field of logistics. Several opportunities in the logistics sector were also explained in detail, which helped the students to analyse the various developments in the job market.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized a Value Added Course on “Trade routes and shipping overview” on 13.06.2019. The resource person was Dr.Vallinayagam, Faculty, CII – Institute of Logistics, Chennai. The resource person highlighted the various challenges and opportunities available in the trade routes. Recent trends and developments in the field of shipping were also highlighted.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized a Value Added Course on “Trade and commercial terms” on 12.06.2019. The resource person was Dr.Thomas, Faculty, CII – Institute of Logistics, Chennai. Different trade and commercial terms related to logistics and shipping was taught to the students. This will serve as a platform for their fruitful career in the area of logistics and shipping.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai actively took part in a Green Initiative program by donating tree saplings on 05.03.2019. This activity was done in alignment with the conservation and preservation of our eco system

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai in collaboration with the Department of Commerce had organized a Workshop on GST on 16.02.2019. The resource persons were Mr.S.Nagalingam, Former Assistant Commisioner, Central Excise and Dr.P.Ponramu, Professor, Melur Arts & Science College. This workshop helped in easier understanding of GST. The importance of GST towards the contribution of Indian economy was also highlighted.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized a seminar on “Entrepreneurship: Growth engine of economy” on 15.02.2019. The resource person was Mr.K.Thirupathi Rajan, Chairman, Export Promotion Centre. The resource person highlighted the various opportunities available in entrepreneurship and the methodologies to be adopted towards successful entrepreneurship. Totally 41 students got benefited through this program.
