Students from the Department of BBA proved that they would definitely become ethically and socially responsible citizens of future India by engaging themselves in a noble gesture of rendering a helping hand to the flood victims of Kerala. They donated dress materials and food to the flood victims by joining hands with Radio City on 25.08.2018.
Mr.S.Makeshwar (17018), student of II year BBA involved himself in peer teaching on the topic of “Business Plan” on 24.08.2018. He educated students in the benefits of entrepreneurship and the strategies to be adopted in starting a profitable business. Students were also taught on the risks involved in businesses and the ways of tackling them. Students had a different experience of listening to their peer.

A visit was made to the Global Expo & Summit organized by Vibrant Tamil Nadu for students of BBA on 14.08.2018. The students witnessed the various stalls set up by leading Logistics, Shipping & Warehousing companies. The students had the experience of meeting some leading delegates & global giants in the field of Logistics & Shipping. The students felt the visit to be very useful for their career.
A guest lecture on “Interview Skills” was conducted for the students of BBA on 11.08.2018. The students had a great learning experience. Dr.G.R.Balakrishnan, Executive Editor – Sagar Sandesh was invited as the resource person. The session was very informative and interesting. Students learnt the skills to be adopted in an interview along with the body language to be followed. Totally 17 students got benefited through this program.
The Department of BBA has signed an MOU with CII – Institute of Logistics for providing a Certificate Course on “Logistics & Shipping Management”. The Online Examination for the first semester was conducted on 11.06.2018 & 12.06.2018 respectively. Students actively attended the Online Examination with great hopes and aspiration.
An industrial visit to St.John Freight Station, Tuticorin was organized for students of BBA Department on 15.12.2017. St.John Freight Station is the authorized customs clearing agent for Tuticorin Port. They are one of the leaders in Logistics & Shipping Industry. The staff explained in detail about the basic logistics and shipping procedures. The students had a great learning experience.
Students of BBA department were taken for an exposure visit to the Ship-in-Campus at RL Institute of Nautical Sciences, Madurai on 30.11.2017. The students got a virtual feel of a cargo ship. The staff coordinator explained in detail the various types of ships, and the engine mechanism. The students had a great learning experience.
The Department of BBA in association with CII – Institute of Logistics, Chennai signed a MOU for conducting a certificate course on “Logistics & Shipping”. The first session of the certificate program was launched by means of video conferencing on 22.11.2017. Mr.Vignesh Vaidhyanathan, Counselor – CII Institute of Logistics, Chennai discussed on the topic “Trade routes and shipping overview”. The objective of this certificate course is to enhance the skills of the students in the logistics and shipping industry, thereby promoting their employability.
A guest lecture on “Branding & Immense of Brand Building” was organized for students of BBA on 10.11.2017. Mr.S.Srikanth – Marketing Executive, Planet Mini (iPhone’s Authenticated Reseller) was invited as the resource person. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities in brand building and the strategies to be adopted for building a successful brand. The students were immensely benefited through this guest lecture. Totally 58 students got benefited through this program.
