The resource person was Dr.G.R.Balakrishnan, Educationalist. Students got an opportunity to know about the latest developments in the field of logistics. Several opportunities in the logistics sector were also explained in detail, which helped the students to analyse the various developments in the job market.

The resource person was Dr.Vallinayagam, Faculty, CII – Institute of Logistics, Chennai. The resource person highlighted the various challenges and opportunities available in the trade routes. Recent trends and developments in the field of shipping were also highlighted.

The resource person was Dr.Thomas, Faculty, CII – Institute of Logistics, Chennai. Different trade and commercial terms related to logistics and shipping was taught to the students. This will serve as a platform for their fruitful career in the area of logistics and shipping.

ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai in collaboration with the Department of Commerce had organized a Workshop on GST on 16.02.2019. The resource persons were Mr.S.Nagalingam, Former Assistant Commisioner, Central Excise and Dr.P.Ponramu, Professor, Melur Arts & Science College. This workshop helped in easier understanding of GST. The importance of GST towards the contribution of Indian economy was also highlighted.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai had organized a seminar on “Entrepreneurship: Growth engine of economy” on 15.02.2019. The resource person was Mr.K.Thirupathi Rajan, Chairman, Export Promotion Centre. The resource person highlighted the various opportunities available in entrepreneurship and the methodologies to be adopted towards successful entrepreneurship. Totally 41 students got benefited through this program.
ZEAL, BBA Association had organized a series of activity based learning sessions for its students on 05.02.2019. Students were motivated to participate in Role Plays, Dumb Charade & management games. The students had a great learning experience.
ZEAL, BBA Association had organized a “Seminar on construction of Questionnaire” for its students on 04.02.2019. Mr.S.M.Kaarthikeyan, an advanced learner from final year BBA served as the resource person. The students felt the session to be very informative and useful, as it will help them to undertake a research activity.
Career counseling sessions for students of BBA was conducted from 07.01.2019 to 12.01.2019. The students were taught on Effective Communication Skills, Numerical Aptitude, Subject Knowledge, Group Discussion, Interview skills and resume writing. The students felt the session to be very useful and informative. They realized that this would be of great help for their career.

The resource person was Mr.Rengaraj, Administrative Officer, Sagar Sandesh, a weekly tabloid newspaper in the field of logistics & shipping. The resource person highlighted the various terminologies and fundamentals related to shipping & port management. The students felt the session to be very informative and useful to their career. Totally 41 students got benefited through this program.
