“Knowledge sharing session on Personalized Nutrition”

The Health & Nutrition club from the department of FSPM conducted a programme on “Knowledge sharing session on Personalized Nutrition” for the club students. The student coordinator Mr.R.Blesson from the department of MCHM welcomed the gathering and conducted the event. Totally 38 students eagerly participated and benefitted from it. They enjoyed and said that it was a  very useful for them to have a bright  future. The sole aim of the activity conducted was to impart skills to the target group. This will help build their confidence and  inculcate a sense of social responsibility among the students.

TRAINING PROGRAM ON FIRST AID

The Department of Fire & Industrial Safety organized a Training program on the “Basics First Aid”. The training was conducted by Akksha training and consulting services from 13.12.2021 to 16.12.2021. Mr.S.Siva Kumar Trainer (First Aid) and Miss R. Birundha of Akksha training and consulting services was the resource person for the training program. Totally 21 III year students of Fire and Industrial safety Department eagerly participated in the training program. The resource person practically demonstrated the basics of First Aid practices to be followed during the emergencies on affected victim. The students felt that the program was very useful to them and at the end of training program an interactive session was arranged to clear the doubts of the Students.

Guest Lecture on The Entrepreneurial Journey of Innovation

As a part of Academic Social Responsibility, a guest lecture session was designed and delivered by Dr M Subramanian, HoD – MBA Program to the Commerce Students of MannarThirumalai Naicker College, Madurai on 16th December, 2021. The topic of the guest lecture was “The Entrepreneurial Journey of Innovation”. 156 Commerce Students of Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College benefited out of this program.

Techie Quest club-Don’t Feed the Phish

The Techie Quest club of Computer Science department conducted an activity-3 program on 16.12.2021 at Academic Lab-1. The club members, club coordinator and student club coordinators participated in the meeting. Mrs.V.Gayathri, Club Coordinator welcomed the gathering. Mr. Mr.Srivatsav, II CS (SSS) conducted an interactive session on “Don’t Feed the Phish”. Phishing is a type of internet scam in which user’s private information is stolen and used for criminal activity. He explained about the impact of phishing attack with real time examples. Students from various departments participated in the program in an enthusiastic manner. Finally the session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr.Visagan of II B.Sc CS (SSS). Totally 21 students participated in this event.

Life – Skills Meditation Programme

Mr. S. Praveen kumar, Instructor, Department of Animation conducted a “Life – Skills Meditation Programme” for the B.Sc., Animation I, II Year and P.G. Diploma in Animation techniques Students on 15.12.2021, Wednesday between 09:00 AM and 12:30 PM at Drawing Studio. He coordinated the students to experience the benefits of meditation and to calm the mind. The main objective of the programme is to induce the ability of creativity. The students took part very actively in the programme and all the students gave positive feedback. Totally 60 students participated in the workshop.

Campus Recruitment Drive 2021 – Pixstone Images Pvt. Ltd.

Department of Animation organized a Campus Recruitment Drive 2021 on 15.12.2021, Wednesday at Animation Academic Lab for the final year students.“Pixstone Images Pvt. Ltd.” from Chennai conducted the Technical Test and Interview for the students. Totally 12 students from the III Year attended the interview. The Technical test was conducted by Mr.Jawahar, Manager. The HR interview was conducted by Mr.Joseph, HR-Head.

ALUMNI INTERACTION

In association with alumni cell, Alumna of Computer Science Department, Ms.Abirami (Batch: 2016 – 2019), Software Engineer, Ezovion Intelligent HMS, Chennai, interacted with I year CS (SSS) students on 14.12.2021. She shared her industry experience with the students. She insisted the students to learn domain related courses and their application in current industry.  She also asked the students to clear value added courses offered by the college. Totally 36 students participated in this program. Entirely the session was an eye opener for the students.

BHARATHI VIZHA VERSE WRITING COMPETITION

The Department of Tamil celebrated  140th birth anniversary of Maha kavi Bharathiyar on 13.12.2021. The verse writing Competition was conducted in the F39 Hall. The competition really benefitted the students to enhance their verse writing skills. The assessment was done by the members of the Tamil Department. Totally 7 Students participated in Verse writing competition. First prize was won by S.Charulatha, II FSPM  M.Anantha Krishna, II F&IS got II prize and S.Nishalakshmi, I BBA got III prize

BHARATHI VIZHA DRAWING COMPETITION

The Department of Tamil celebrated  140th birth anniversary of Maha kavi Bharathiyar on 13.12.2021. Drawing Competition was conducted in the F39 Hall. The students were able to expose their Drawing talents through the competition. The assessment was done by the members of the Tamil Department. Totally 7 students participated in the Drawing competition. The first prize was won by A.Aastin Bennyhin Samvel  I MCHM,  K.Suriya,I B&I got the II prize and G.Vikram, I B&I got III prize

VALUE ADDED COURSE ON IOSH-MS

The Department of Fire and Industrial Safety conducted a Value Added Course on IOSH Managing Safely (MS) V 5.0 Certified by UK Institution (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) for 21students of  III year B.Sc., (F&IS) Fire & Industrial Safety from 9.12.2021 to 12.12.2021. Mr. M. Krishna Moorthy and Mr. K. Senthil Nathan HSE from Green World group was the trainer for the VAC. He trained the students clearly about the Importance of IOSH by framing with 7 different Modules. He also explained about hazard controlling methods, risk Assessment and the procedures for investigating and reporting accidents at work. The Students understood about the importance of proactive and reactive health & safety monitoring measures. The students were also given hands-on training on the Risk Assessment data. He also gives the career guidance and Job opportunity in the safety field. At the end of the programme a Student successfully completed the Online Individual assessment. The students of B.Sc (F&IS) (2019 batch) shared their positive feedback for arranging such a useful Value added course which will help them to build their career.
