Ruby Food Products Private Limited, Madurai, celebrates the real goodness of nature’s best gifts i.e., fruits and nuts.  They believe that real goodness requires a real good drink to go with it. It all started in 1962, when Mr. Srinivasan desired to create a beverage that he could feel good about serving to people. Selling his home-made grape juice at a teeny-tiny local shop in Madurai, he made his way up to the leaders in beverage market. Today, Ruby basks in its own 5-decade-old glory of being renowned in some of the prominent cities of South India. They have modified in multiple ways in order to match the consumer requirements; such as adapting the latest trends in Processing Technology and Packaging, expanding their reach to cities across South India and so much more. Nevertheless, one thing remains the same, They stayed true to the original purpose: Help people taste the best that nature has to offer. They always make sure that this happens following the best food standards in the most sustainable ways possible.

At the end of the  session, the participants  were able to:

A few major points explained by the speaker to the students about Recent Trends in IT Industry:

Ø Encouraged the students to develop entrepreneurial skills

Ø Advised the students to do self learning in both academic and career oriented skills

Ø Explained about the interview techniques to crack the entry level test at top level MNC’s

Ø Suggested the students to learn many new tools & technology

Ø There were 2 technical events conducted namely Blog Creation (11 participants)  and Poster Presentation(8 teams)

Ø In blog creation event, the theme was given to the students a day before for developing an application on “India Vision towards 2040”.  The students created and presented their blog with various innovative ideas like Cleanliness throughout the country, Advanced technology in medicine and Artificial Intelligence in education.

Ø In Poster Presentation event, the theme was given to the students a day before for designing a poster on “Future World in my Perception”.  The students designed many innovative posters by using the tools and templates available in the canvas software tool.

v To visit State Industries Promotional Corporation of Tamilnadu (SIPCOT) and to collect data on entrepreneurship.

v To honor and motivate the entrepreneurs of small scale industries observing National Small Industries Day.

The Students of II BBA,

v Visited the SIPCOT, Kappalur, Madurai, guided by Mr. B. Vairamuthu, AP, BBA.

v Prepared a questionnaire and collected the information regarding success stories of entrepreneurs of Small Scale Industries.

v Greeted the entrepreneurs for observing National Small Industries Day

The students were able to

v Understand the process of managing Small Scale Industries that leads to the growth of the country’s economy.

v Understand various ideas behind the success of the small industry entrepreneurs.

·        To provide basic understanding in Port Operations.

·        To understand the process of loading and unloading cargo operations.

·        To understand the traffic process of vessels into the port.

·        Students along with staff reached the VOC Port at 11.30 a.m.  After paying the necessary entry fee, the port authority permitted to visit the unloading area of Berth No. 9, where a bulk carrier vessel was unloading the Coal cargo.

·        Later, we were permitted to enter in to the deck of the ship and observed the loading process.

·        Finally, we visited the signal station of the port, where the station in charge explained the process of entry and exit traffic into the port.

·        The students were able to

·        understand the basic port operations in the port and obtained the hands- on training of loading process inside the bulk career ship.

·        understand the traffic operations of the vessels inside the port.

v To Provide Knowledge about Government Plans and Entrepreneurship Programmes.

v To Promote First Generation Businessman among students community.

v To provide an idea for start-up business and incubation centre

v The BBA Zeal Association organized the program.

v The Guest Prof. Thiirukoshtiyur K. Manikandan explained the concepts like ethics in Administration, Time Management, Innovation, and Creativity.

v The speaker narrated the qualities of successful entrepreneur, SWOT Analysis, and the various government funding agencies that promote students entrepreneurs.

v The students were accompanied by Dr.Kumaran Thayumanavan, HoD, Dr. B. Meenakshi Sundaram Assistant Professor and Mr. B. Vairamuthu, Assistant Professor – Department of BBA.

v Students were able to understand the concept of Startup ideas.

v The Students showed keen interest in generating business ideas They also obtained the knowledge and guidance from the speaker to become an entrepreneur.

ü  Ms. M Sarmila, I B.Com (Banking and Insurance), delivered a presentation on “Entrepreneur (Triple E’s)” to I B.Com (Banking and Insurance) students, in an efficient manner.

ü  Ms. T K Kiruthika Lakshmi, I B.Com (Banking and Insurance), delivered a presentation on “Entrepreneur (Business Risk)” to the student of I B.Com (Banking and Insurance) in an efficient manner.

At the end of the program,

ü  Students expressed interest and intention to explore entrepreneurship as a career.

ü  Direct interaction between students promoted active learning.

ü  The program enhanced the confidence of the students to become an entrepreneur.

ü  Students asked for clarification regarding – the business startups and management of the business, the speaker clarified their doubts.

·         To enable the students to understand ‘Event photography’ and know the required materials.

·         To create an insight as to how we can quote price for a particular event.

Mr. ThameemAnsar explained in detail about photography. He explained the different types of cameras and different types of lighting. He also explained 360° Camera and its history. Photography is an art of capturing light with a camera. The students appreciated the session.

·         The studentsacquired a clear knowledge about ‘Event photography’.

·         The students were able to quote prices that were in the industry standards.

·         The students came to know as to how they have to approach a customer.

v  Peer teaching will enhance learning by enabling learners to take responsibility for reviewing, organizing, and consolidating existing knowledge and materials.

v  Peer learning will enable them to move away from dependence on teachers and gain more opportunities to enhance their learning

v  They have the chance to experience and learn that “teaching is the best teacher.”

v  The Department of Commerce B.Com (Banking and Insurance) organized a peer teaching session on 01.07.2022 in the 1^st year B.Com (B&I) classroom as a tool of participative learning.

v  Mr. J. Pandi Ajay from I^st year B.Com (B&I) handled the topic “Royalty Accounts” to the peers.

v  He explained the topic in an efficient manner.

v  All the students observed their effective teaching attentively. The session was lively and interactive.

v  Direct interaction between students promoted active learning.

v  Peer teachers reinforced their learning by instructing others.

v  Students felt more comfortable when interacting with the peer.

v  Peers and students shared a similar discourse, allowing for greater understanding.

v  Peer teaching helped the students build confidence and communication abilities.
