ZEAL, BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on Psychiatric Counseling at the Bodhi campus of M.S.Chellamuthu Trust on 18.01.2020. The staff of the Trust explained the need and importance of Psychiatric counseling. The various causes of mental disability were discussed. Some simple strategies of avoiding mental disability were also suggested.
ZEAL, BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai in association with the NSS Unit of the college organized a rally for creating awareness on Road Safety on 11.01.2020. This was in regard with celebrating Road Safety week. Around 50 students from the college took part in the rally. Pamphlets and notices containing awareness on road safety were distributed to the two wheeler and four wheeler riders.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an Exposure Visit to VOC Port Trust on 07.12.2019. The students understood the various operations related to marine logistics. The port operations were also explained in detail. The students also had the opportunity to visit a vessel on shore and witness the functions of the control room.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on “Coping with Exam Stress” on 04.12.2019. Mr.B.V.Eswaran, Former Chief Manager, Indian Bank was invited as the resource person. The resource person highlighted the various strategies and simple techniques which can be adopted for getting relief and coping with exam stress. The students felt the session to be very useful.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an Exposure Visit to Ruby Foods on 03.12.2019. The processes involved right from the procurement of raw materials to the processing of finished products were witnessed and explained in detail. The activities involved in the supply chain, related to wholesaling and retailing, were also explained.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai signed an MoU with Export Promotion Centre, Madurai on 25.11.2019. It is an apex body of the Tamil Nadu Chamber Foundation. The MoU will help the students in the areas of internships and placements. Resource persons from Export Promotion Centre may also be called for delivering guest lectures and seminars. This is an important milestone in the history of the Department of BBA. The MoU was signed between the Principal of the college and the Chairman of Export Promotion Centre in the presence of the students.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an Exposure Visit to Parle G, Madurai on 23.11.2019. The processes involved right from the procurement of raw materials to the production of biscuits were explained in detail. The supply chain management involved in taking the biscuits to the retail shops was also clarified. The students had a great learning experience.
ZEAL (BBA Association) of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science organized an Art competition and an Essay writing competition in view of celebrating Children’s day (Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday) on 14.11.2019. The themes for the Art competition and the Essay writing competition were “Nehru’s Vision of Modern India” and “Challenges faced by Children in the Modern Era” respectively. Students from all departments actively participated in the events. This event helped in improving the leadership and organizing skills of the students of BBA.
ZEAL, BBA Association, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a Value Added Course on “Geography for Logistics & Shipping” on 01.10.2019. The resource person was Mr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram, Senior Faculty, RL Institute of Nautical Sciences. The resource person highlighted the different geographical terms related to logistics and shipping management. He also mentioned the relevance of such terms in the industry and the need of knowing it.
ZEAL (BBA Association) of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science organized an “Intra college meet” on 26.09.2019& 27.09.2019. Several competitions like Business Quiz, Sherlock Holmes, Phrase Hunt, Multitasking, Ad – Zap and Pitch your ideas were conducted. Students from all departments actively participated in the events. The prize winners were honored. This event helped in improving the leadership and organizing skills of the students of BBA.
