FAGAS Association of the Department of Food Science and Processing Management organized an Outreach Program (SLCS Samaaj Seva) through “Siddha Diet and Nutrition for Healthy Life” on 09.01.2023. Students emphasized on the Siddhas healthy eating and the nutritional importance of a balanced diet. They described the significance of balancing food ingredients (Thirithoda) such as, pepper, turmeric, cumin seeds, asafoetida, dried ginger, cardamom, fenugreek and garlic. It maintains the homeostasis of the three humors namely, Vali, Azhal and Aiyam. Totally, 20 students actively participated and 20 members got benefited through this extension activity.
Industrial Visit to Naga Foods
The “Lakshya” Association of MBA department went on an Industrial visit on 09.01.2023 to Naga Foods, Dindigul. Students learned practical knowledge gained exposure to new technologies, career insights, networking opportunities, and enhanced their learning experience.
Totally 55, students and 3 faculty members participated in the industrial visit, Dr Sivajothi , Dr S Pugalanthi and Dr K S KarthikBabu were the coordinators.
Workshop on Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behaviour Development through Financial Market Practice
ZEAL Association, Department of BBA, along with Institution’s Innovation Council- SLCS conducted a workshop on “Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behaviour Development through Financial Market Practice” on 06.01.2023. Dr. L. Balasubramanian, Founder and Chairman and Dr. J. Saravana Kumar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, were the Chief Guests. The expert speakers briefly explained the various types of financial trading and methods to start entrepreneurship in trading, feasibility for improving the skills, trading FOREX and Share Market. They provided hands-on-training to start business and develop behaviour on Crypto Currency and digital currency. Totally, 51 students of I BBA, 27 Students of II BBA and 16 Student of I ACCA eagerly participated in the program.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING
The Departments of Computer Science( Security system Specialisation) and Networking together organized a Value Added Course on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” for III B.Sc., (CS) students from 02.01.2023 to 06.01.2023 . The session inauguration was conducted on 02.01.2023 at seminar hall at 9:30am under the guidance of Heads of the Department (CS & Networking). The session started at 11:30 am with the brief introduction on Deep Learning and Machine Learning, which are the basics of Data Science.
The field of machine learning demands proficient technical skills. In the training, students were able to develop their skills in programming, algorithms, and network architectures. The students were split up into teams and presented their modules on “AIML” on 06.01.2023 from 2:00pm to 4:30 pm at F32. The session came out with many innovative ideas.

Orientation Program
Department of Marine Catering and Hotel Management organized an Orientation Program for I and II year students (46 students) on 03.01.2023. Mr. C. Suresh Kumar, HoD—MC&HM, presented a power point presentation on campus culture, discipline, anti-ragging, grooming standard, vision and mission, POs, PSOs, COs of our department. Mr. N. Ramesh, Assistant Professor, explained the OBE pattern, attendance percentage for examination, and calculation of the continuous assessment marks, both in theory and in practical. Mr. P. Anand, Assistant Professor, explained the curriculum, course plan, lesson plan, and class time table. Mr. Gangadharan, Assistant Professor, described the activities and extra-curricular activities of the department. Mr. E. Jacob Jebaraj, Assistant Professor, gave a detailed information on part-time job; ODC program of the students, value-added course, preparation of competitive examinations and campus placements. Mr. R. Ganesh, Assistant Professor, briefed on the online course enrollment (Moocs, Swayam), clubs and forums, communication and soft skills, career planning. Finally, the lesson plan, class schedule, and attendance log sheet was given to the class representative.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING
Department of Computer Science (SSS), Department of Networking and Career Counseling Cell jointly organized a Career Guidance Program on “Career Opportunities in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning” on 02.01.2023 for the students of III CS & III Networking. Mr. M. Athigopal, Head, Department of Networking, introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Nanuswamy, President, Maxelerator Foundation, Madurai. The resource person shared the importance of Artificial Intelligence and its applications, Machine Learning algorithms & Data Science and Analytics concept. He shared the real time applications of AI & ML. He highlighted the job opportunities in IT sector. Totally, 16 students from Networking and 51 students from Computer Science were benefitted through this career guidance program.

“GO CYBER-SAFE”
The Department of Computer Science conducted an Administrative Training Program on “Go Cyber-Safe” for all the Non-Teaching and Administrative staff members on 30th, December 2022, 03.00 p.m. at F40 classroom. A total of 12 members participated in this event. The session started with a prayer song. Welcome address was delivered by Mrs.S.Ponmalar, Assistant Professor of CS. The first technical session was handled by Mrs. D. PadmaPriya, Head & Assistant Professor of CS.
Cyber Safe is an application developed jointly by FCORD and the private sector with the objective of making the digital payment eco-system safe and secure, enhancing the faith of the common man in the platform.
During the session resource person insisted that password must be changed by user frequently with all special symbols and characters. She also insisted to use our password with a backup plan and keep our information safe to strengthen our security. She also explained about multifactor authentication settings while using Social media and cites.
Finally vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.S.Ponmalar, Assistant Professor (Dept of CS).

He also gave useful tips to the students for their career and higher education. At the end of the program, a mock interview was arranged for the final year students. The students of F& IS felt very happy for arranging such a course for their career enhancement.
