International Symposium on “FINTECH : THE ROAD AHEAD”

An International Level Symposium was organized by “Lakshya” the MBA department association on “Fintech – The Road Ahead (TBUSH 2020)”  on 21st November 2020-10.30 am through Google Meet. Key Speakers were from across India and abroad (P Kathirvel-AVP- Tata Capital-Mumbai, O Subbia- Fintech Practioner- Mumbai, M Ganesh- Director-Visa International- Mumbai, Mari Rajan-CEO-Remitech-Singapore, M Prasad-Sr. Manager-KVB-Mumbai). 106 students (MBA 1’st Year-46, 2’nd Year-26, other colleges – 34) benefited out of this program. The program was very useful and the participants were able to comprehend all the new concepts of fintech and career opportunities with regard to fintech segment.

 

 

Share a Meal

Sharing is caring. Blessed is a person who gives than receives. Human beings should be humane. Giving is an act of kindness which binds human relationship. In order to inculcate in them such values, even from Kindergarten onwards this aspect of sharing is given more importance.

RLIMS organized “Share a Meal” program as a part of extension activity on 01.11.2020. The first and final year students and faculty members were motivated by Dr. M. Subramanian, Head of the Department. The students happily came forward to share a meal with the poor and homeless. One hundred packs of food were distributed in this program by twenty three students. For our students, it was a heart-warming and unforgettable experience. Our students are determined to continue their support within their reach in future.

Extension Activity – ”Helping hands are better than Praying lips”

Every day life is a gift from God. We come across different types of people in our life. We meet rich as well as the poor. It is our Borden duty to help the poor and needy.

A NATIONAL LEVEL WEBINAR – LAKSHAYA DISHA-2020

Department of  MBA (RLIMS) proudly presented a one-day National webinar “Lakshaya Disha – 2020” on 25.07.2020 for the final year students of Arts and Science and Engineering colleges across India. This program aimed at enabling the students redesign their aspirational career choices, with aptly designed program inputs. Totally 106 students from different parts of India participated in the program. Our MBA   46 students has be benefitted from this program.   Guest speakers for this program “ Dr. S. P. Singh, Professor, Alliance School of Business, Ms. Nithya Karunanithy, Business Head – HCL Technologies, Chennai and Dr. Madhavi Karanam, Assistant Professor, Jain University, Bangalore”.

National Webinar on “Soft Skills for Successful Survival”

Department of MBA (RLIMS) proudly presented a one-day National webinar on “Soft Skills for Successful Survival” on 18.07.2020 for the final year students of Arts and Science and Engineering colleges across India. This program aimed at enabling the students to turn industry-ready by augmenting their Soft Skills required for successful survival in the corporate world. The Chief Guest Ms. Sadhana Deshmukh, Director, Staff Development Centre, NitteDU, Mangalore.Totally 191 students from different parts of India participated in the program.(SLCS-161 and RLIMS – 30)

Harvard Business Review Presentation

The 1st year MBA Students of RLIMS made the presentation on the most popular topics handpicked from the Harvard Business Review 04.12.2019 at seminar hall, which is a sought-after leading business magazine worldwide. This initiative aimed to provide exposure to students to gain business insights into Leadership, Organizational change, Communication, Negotiation, Strategy and managing people. This also enabled the students to acquaint themselves with the contemporary research endeavour in the field of management by the eminent scholars from the world-famous leading Business School.

Campus Recruitment Program

The Campus Recruitment Program aimed at enhancing the employability skills of the students so as to prove their mettle during interviews. Soft skills are becoming more and more coveted, with many organizations giving them the credit they deserve, soft skills provide students with a confident, satisfied workforce that will sustain the organization. In association with Chennai based Phire Academy, conducted Campus Recruitment program for the final year MBA and B.com students from 6th November to 3rd Dec’19.

Outbound Learning Program

In an endeavour to attain the far-sighted vision of the Honorable President to produce industry-Ready students, RLIMS tooks its second-year students to a three-day outbound learning programme “Paradigm shift” at Hour conducted by BreakThrough from 16.08.2019 to 18.08.2019. This programme chiefly aimed at enhancing students managerial and interpersonal skills which are highly indispensable to stand out during placement.

English Proficiency Assessment Examination

In an endeavour to monitor and assess the English learning ability of students, computer based English proficiency assessment exam was conducted on 13th Oct 2018 for the 2nd year MBA students. The questions aiming at measuring the English language proficiency of the students were obtained from “British council” Oxford University and Cambridge University websites. 75 students from 2nd Year MBA is benefited from this program.
