A webinar on “Role of Pre-Sales Consultants in IT Industry” was organized on 22nd May 2021, from 11.00 am onwards by “Lakshya” the MBA Department association of MBA department. The Key Speaker Mr Samuel Prabhakaran, Sr. Consultant, Bosch, Chennai. An alumnus of RLIMS MBA 2004-06 batch.46 MBA students got benefitted out of this program. The program was very useful to students in understanding about the role of pre-sales consultants in the IT industry for a management graduate.
Department of MBA (RLIMS) conducted a webinar on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World” on 15-5-2021 Saturday from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Google meet. The 46 students from 1st year MBA and faculty members joined this webinar. Mr. Arun, Business Creator spoke on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World”

A webinar on “A View of Stock Markets” was organized on 14th May 2021 at 4.00pm by “Lakshya” the MBA Department association. The Key Speaker Mrs. Srividhya, Sr Manager –Client Relations, ICICI Securities, Chennai addressed the students. 46 MBA students of alumni batch 2002-04 got benefited out of this program. The program was useful for participants to learn about step by step process in the stock market investments.
As a part of student’s career development, career counselling cell organized webinar on “Career Opportunities in Logistics and Supply chain Management” on 08.05.2021. This event was conducted in board room from 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. Totally 42 students of MBA attended this session. The session was handled by Mr.Aditya Gupta MBA, Founder and Managing Director, Silver Arrow Logistics Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Students learned how to start a new start-up company in order to become a successful entrepreneur.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Women empowerment cell jointly conducted a one day workshop on Rural Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Preparation on 30.03.2021. The Chief Guest of the workshop Prof. Chethan Babu Chittalkar, Director Rural Management, MGNCRE and Mrs. Ankita Roy, Program Manager, MGNCRE .The workshop aims at Rural Entrepreneurship and the way of business plan preparation.Totally 53 students participated in the event. Professor, Chethan Babu Chittalkar, Director, Rural Management, MGNCRE and Mrs.Ankita Roi, Programme Manager, MGNCRE were the guest speakers for the workshop.
As a part of students career development and moulding the PG students into industry-ready, Department of MBA(RLIMS) conducted a demo session on “Business English Certificate” ( BEC-Preliminary) to all the 1st year MBA 46 students on 23.03.2021 from 4.00 to 4.30 p.m. Ms.Sharmila, Business Development Manager, English Academy briefed the students about the Business English Certificate – Preliminary Examination.Outcome of this program is students learned the way of the obtaining Business English Certification from the English academy.

A webinar on “Marketing of Financial Products and Services” was organized on 06th February 2021, from 11.00 am onwards. The program was organized by “Lakshya” the MBA department association of MBA department. The Key Speakers were Mr Patrick Mathew, Branch Head, Aditya Birla Capita, Madurai | Mr Pratik Sengupta, Director, 3Q Capital, Mumbai.48 MBA students benefited out of this program. The program enlightens the student attitude towards marketing of financial products and services. The students were able to know about the nuggets of selling the financial products to different types of clients.
SLCS SamaajSeva – an extension activity on “Digital Literacy” was organised by the “Lakshya” the Department Association of MBA Program on 8th Jan 2022, at 9.30 am in the Govt School, Arittapatti, Near Melur, Madurai. The event was organised to facilitate the awareness in learning and comprehending various aspects of Social responsibility among the school students. Dr. S. Pugalanthi, Dr. D. Abraham Pradeep were the program Co-ordinators and our 9 MBA students (I MBA-2 Nos & II- MBA 7 Nos.) organised this program. Totally 44 students from the Arittapatti Govt. School got benefited out of this program.
In an effort to prepare the students to ace both the State-level and National-level competitive examinations, the Career Counseling Cell of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science conducted a four day virtual Employment Training Program from 02-12-2020 to 05-12-2020 on “How to be successful in Government Examinations?” (Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment – 2020). The Chief Guest Mr. C. M. R. Manimozhiyan, Deputy Superintendent of Police (In Training), Dindugal District. Totally 66 students (PG Students 3 (MBA-2, Msc Viscom-1), UG Students-63) benefited through this program.
