Key Highlights:
The following competitions were held between 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. v The essay and drawing competition on the theme “Vision for India” was conducted in the drawing hall of Animation Department at 11.00a.m. Totally, 11 students from various departments participated in the essay competition and 5 members participated in drawing competition. v Faculty members from different departments visited the drawing hall and encouraged the students. v The singing competition on patriotic theme focused on Achievements @ 75 was conducted in the Audio Lab of Viscom Department at 11.00 a.m. Totally, 9 students participated in the competition under the encouragement of 14 faculty members. v The slogan competition on the theme Actions @ 75 was conducted in the drawing hall of Animation Department. Totally, 5 students participated in slogan competition under the encouragement of 12 faculty members. |

Outcome of the activity:
v The students participated enthusiastically in various competitions conducted in the mentioned two days and exhibited their patriotism through their performance. v The essays, drawings and slogans exhibited the essence of patriotism for India, and also the honor that they pay for our country. v The winners were awarded for their performance in various competitions. |

The expert speakers elaborated the following major points to the participants, v The meeting started with registration and a formal inaugural session followed by Poster Display and visit to Innovation and Startup model display. v Smt. Mamta Rani Agarwal, Advisor – AICTE, presented the importance of Multicultural Reliability, Innovation in Technology, Industrial /Academic set up and understanding the society. v Dr. R. Srinivasan, Member Secretary, TNSCST, explained the importance of Inter-disciplinary approach in establishing the quality education through innovation and entrepreneurship. v Mr. Dipan Kumar Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, explained about the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self Reliance India) and also informed that India is emerging as a Startup Nation. v In the afternoon, the session was subdivided into four sub-sessions as follows 1. Creation and sustaining I & E ecosystems in HEIs. 2. Visualizing and developing action plan for I & E Ecosystem Development in HEIs. 3. Benchmark Measuring I & E ecosystem in HEIs and Impact Creation. 4. IP and Technology Transfer. |

The participants were able to, v Understand how HEI is able to create an impact towards institution’s achievement by analyzing and observing the display of posters. v Observe various innovative models and start ups done by various institutions through IIC. v Get awareness on YUKTI – National Innovative Repository (NIR) achievement and performance maximization through quality participation of HEIs, v Gain knowledge on the importance of creation and sustaining innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, knowledge on visualizing and developing action plan for I & E ecosystem, benchmark measuring I & E Ecosystem in HEIs through knowledge sharing. |

SLCS SAMAAJ SEVA – AWARENESS ON DENGUE FEVER
Hebert William Henrich Association of Department of Fire and Industrial Safety organized SLCS SAMAAJSEVA – an extension activity on “AWARENESS ON DENGUE FEVER” at Chettikulam village on 05/08/2022. A Student from II year FIS, S. Muthaiahraja conducted the activity. He clarified to the public that dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes in the form of fever. He explained that severe dengue was a leading cause of serious illness and death. He also illustrated that early detection of disease progression associated with severe dengue, and access to proper medical care lowers the fatality rates of severe dengue below 1%. This initiative created awareness to the public as to how it will affect the humans.
The aim of this campaign is to determine the level of knowledge and practice of dengue control amongst the public. Around 15 People got benefitted from the activity.
