On 26.08.2022, ZEAL Association, Department of BBA and IQAC, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai, organized a workshop on “WAREHOUSE SAFETY MANAGEMENT” for I BBA students, to get awareness on warehouse safety management, prevention of accidents and injuries. Mr. I. VIVEK RAMKUMAR M.E (ISE), HOD/F & amp; IS, and Mr. R Brameshwaran, HSE Trainer/Assistant Professor, addressed our students and explained: “What is fire?”, “What are the possible ways of fire accidents?”, and “How to prevent fire accidents?”; actions to be taken to mitigate fire, inspections, and hazards reporting in the warehouse. The students get to know about different fire- safety devices in the office and building and became familiar with the building’s emergency procedures. Finally, they learned how to extinguish it quiet and calm. The students had great practical exposure. Totally, 56 students were benefited.

Factory Visit to NABARD & TNAU, Madurai
On 23.08.2022, ZEAL Association, Department of BBA, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science Madurai, organized a factory visit to National Bank of Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) and Tamilnadu Agricultural University (TNAU) to learn the various Agribusiness models in the southern regions of Tamilnadu, Mr. S. Gurushankar, Senior Manager, S. Jayagobi, Manager (Digital) and Mr. T. Gobinath, Deputy Manager (FP), addressed our students and explained the Incubation Process, Patents, Trademarks and Operations of MABIF. Students learnt in detail on the various packaging, production, and export processes related to Agri – products. The business operations involved in these processes were also explained in detail. The students had a great learning experience. Totally, 61 students from II and III BBA were benefited.

Sriram, being an entrepreneur, shared his experience and highlighted the advantages of becoming an entrepreneur. He further explained how to get strong knowledge about the supply chain management and advised to develop more start-up entrepreneurship in future. v The students promoted and sold various products including stationeries, consumer eatables, and mobile accessories and were able to obtain more than 35 percent profit through sales day. |

SLCS SAMAAJ SEVA – AWARENESS ON DENGUE FEVER
Hebert William Henrich Association of Department of Fire and Industrial Safety organized SLCS SAMAAJSEVA – an extension activity on “AWARENESS ON DENGUE FEVER” at Chettikulam village on 05/08/2022. A Student from II year FIS, S. Muthaiahraja conducted the activity. He clarified to the public that dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes in the form of fever. He explained that severe dengue was a leading cause of serious illness and death. He also illustrated that early detection of disease progression associated with severe dengue, and access to proper medical care lowers the fatality rates of severe dengue below 1%. This initiative created awareness to the public as to how it will affect the humans.
The aim of this campaign is to determine the level of knowledge and practice of dengue control amongst the public. Around 15 People got benefitted from the activity.
