TBUSH 2021 – International Workshop on Digital Business – Overview

Techno-Business Horizons 2021 (TBUSH 2021) – International Workshop on Digital Business was organized by RLIMS (A Unit of SLCS) on 23rd December, 2021 at the college Auditorium. The program was organized by “Lakshya”, the MBA Department Student Association. The Key Speakers were Mr.Satya Sidharth Panda, Digital Marketing Consultant, Bangalore ; Mr Ismath Jafri, Senior Manager, Navi Financial Services, Chennai ; Ms Nithya, Business Head, Digital Business, HCL, Chennai (An alumnus of RLIMS MBA 2004-06 batch) ; Mr Naveen Narayanan, CEO, SSA Consultants, Muscat, Oman (Through Online – Google Meet) ; Mr Ratik Kapoor, Digital Marketing Analytics Manager, Media Mint, Gurgaon, Haryana. 367 student participants benefited out of this program (65 SLCS UG Students, 192 Outside College Students, 110 RLIMS MBA Students). The program was very useful for the participants in learning about the digital business transformation.

Factory Visit to Parle G

ZEAL, BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a factory visit to Parle G, Madurai on 22.12.2021. The students learnt in detail about the various manufacturing processes in Parle G. The logistics operations involved in this process were also explained in detail. The students had a great learning experience. Totally 60 students comprising of I and II year BBA participated and got benefited through this visit.

 

TECH TALK

The Department of CS (SSS) &TechnoSoft Association jointly conducted a Tech Talk program on 22.12.2021 at F32 Class room.  Students from II B.Sc CS (SSS) participated in the event. The session started with the welcome address delivered by Mr.AjayMathesh of II B.Sc CS (SSS). Mrs.N.Anuradha, HoD of CS (SSS) delivered a felicitation address. Students from II CS (SSS) presented a paper on various innovative topics and the details are given below. Entirely the session was very useful to the students and also helped to improve their presentation & technical skill. Finally the session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr.Gururathinavel of II B.Sc CS (SSS). Totally 51 students participated in this program.

Seminar on “Emerging trends in the manufacturing sector”

ZEAL, a BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on “Emerging trends in the manufacturing sector” on 22.12.2021. Mr.D.Katherushan, Coordinator, Parle G, Madurai, was the resource person. Totally 60 students comprising of I and II year BBA participated and got benefited through the program. The resource person explained in detail about the latest developments in the manufacturing sector. He also highlighted some interesting case studies related to manufacturing. The seminar took place at Parle G, Madurai.

ASSOCIATION MEET – KALAISARAL

Kalaisaral, the Association Meet was conducted by the TechnoFest Association Members on 22.12.2021 at F32 class room. II B.Sc CS (SSS) Students participated in the event. Ms.K.Shahithya of II B.Sc C.S (SSS) compered the programme. The event started with the welcome address given by Mr.Ramji of II B.ScCS (SSS).Mrs.V.Gayathri, AP of CS (SSS) gave the felicitation address.Students participated in various non-technical events in enthusiastic manner and their details are given below. Finally the session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr.Gururathinavel of II B.Sc CS (SSS). Totally 51 students participated in this program.

Report on Participation at AGRITECH 2021, Madurai

As part of an experiential learning initiatives, five of our 2nd MBA Students (MBA 2020-22 batch) served as business stall volunteers for M/s RS Pathy Naturo Products Pvt Ltd. at AGRITECH 2021, Ida-Scudder Hall, Velammal Hospital, Madurai on 18th and 19th December, 2021. Giriraaj, Shanmuganatha Pandian, Mohana, Siddharth, Deivakumar of II MBA were serving as business stall volunteers and gained direct market experience through an exhibition (AGRITECH). The students learnt about how to handle customers visiting exhibition, display of products (merchandising) and holistic experience of marketing of products through an exhibition.

Seminar on “The Magic of Entrepreneurship”

ZEAL, a BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on “The Magic of Entrepreneurship” on 17.12.2021. Mrs.Saranya Suthandra Pandian, Founder & Director, Next Gen Sprouted Health Mix, Madurai, was the resource person. Totally 63 students comprising of I and II year BBA participated and got benefited through the program. The resource person explained in detail about the skills needed and the strategies to be employed for developing entrepreneurial skills in the post Covid era. She also highlighted some interesting case studies related to entrepreneurship.

Value Added Course on Python Programming

The Department of Computer Science (SSS) conducted a value added course on Python Programming for 51 students of II B.Sc CS (SSS)- Batch 2020 – 2023 from 13.12.2021 to 17.12.2021. Mr.N.Shaliya, CEO, Zerami Infotech Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore was the trainer. The students were trained with the basics of Python Programming. He trained the students by assigning scenario based exercises and assignments, which is helpful for the students to appear for Microsoft International Certification in Python Programming.

“Knowledge sharing session on Personalized Nutrition”

The Health & Nutrition club from the department of FSPM conducted a programme on “Knowledge sharing session on Personalized Nutrition” for the club students. The student coordinator Mr.R.Blesson from the department of MCHM welcomed the gathering and conducted the event. Totally 38 students eagerly participated and benefitted from it. They enjoyed and said that it was a  very useful for them to have a bright  future. The sole aim of the activity conducted was to impart skills to the target group. This will help build their confidence and  inculcate a sense of social responsibility among the students.

TRAINING PROGRAM ON FIRST AID

The Department of Fire & Industrial Safety organized a Training program on the “Basics First Aid”. The training was conducted by Akksha training and consulting services from 13.12.2021 to 16.12.2021. Mr.S.Siva Kumar Trainer (First Aid) and Miss R. Birundha of Akksha training and consulting services was the resource person for the training program. Totally 21 III year students of Fire and Industrial safety Department eagerly participated in the training program. The resource person practically demonstrated the basics of First Aid practices to be followed during the emergencies on affected victim. The students felt that the program was very useful to them and at the end of training program an interactive session was arranged to clear the doubts of the Students.
