Webinar on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World”

Department of MBA (RLIMS) conducted a webinar on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World” on 15-5-2021 Saturday from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Google meet. The 46 students from 1st year MBA and faculty members joined this webinar. Mr. Arun, Business Creator spoke on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World”

Ms. Aarthy Chandrasekaran from 1st MBA coordinated for the successful conduct of this event. Ms. Fathima Praveen from 1st year MBA delivered the welcome address. Alumnus of RLIMS (2001-2003 Batch), Mr. Arun, Business Creator in Chemist Industry was the Chief Guest of the webinar.

Board of Studies Meeting

The Department of Marine Catering and Hotel Management conducted an Online Board of Studies Meeting on 14.5.2021 between 11.00 P.M. and 12.00 noon. Dr. R.Kannan, Ph.D, Professor & Research Guide, Centre for Tourism and Hotel Management, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, represented as the University Nominee , Dr.S.Karthikeyan Assistant Professor and HoD ,Department of Hotel Management, J J College of Arts and Science (Autonomous),Pudukkotti, Mr. A. Sebastian Shalvin,  Assistant Professor ( Culinary) ,  Department of Catering & Hotel Management, Hindusthan College of Arts And Science,  City Campus, Avinashi Road,  Coimbatore  represented as  Subject Experts,  Mr.Arul Mahendiran  ,Human Resources Manager, Somerset Greenways Chennai, represented as the Industrial Expert, Mr. Arunkumar ,Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Fortune Pandiyan Hotel, Race course, Alagar Kovil road, Madurai participated as an Alumni,  Mr. C. Sureshkumar, Head of the Department  represented as the Chairperson. The Department Faculty members, a Parent and a Student participated as members in the Board of Studies Meeting and gave their valid feedback and recommendations for framing the syllabus.

Webinar on “A view of stock markets”

A webinar on “A View of Stock Markets” was organized on 14th May 2021 at 4.00pm  by  “Lakshya” the MBA Department association.  The Key Speaker Mrs. Srividhya, Sr Manager –Client Relations, ICICI Securities, Chennai addressed the students. 46 MBA students of alumni batch 2002-04  got benefited out of this program.  The program was useful for participants to learn about step by step process in the stock market investments.

Webinar on “Career Opportunities in Logistics and Supply Chain Management”

As a part of student’s career development, career counselling cell organized webinar on “Career Opportunities in Logistics and Supply chain Management” on 08.05.2021. This event was conducted in board room from 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. Totally 42  students of MBA attended this session. The session was handled by Mr.Aditya Gupta MBA, Founder and Managing Director, Silver Arrow Logistics Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Students learned how to start a new start-up company in order to become a successful entrepreneur.

CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME ON “OPPORTUNITIES IN THE VISUAL EFFECTS & IMPORTANCE OF MATCH MOVE IN THE INDUSTRY”

The Department of Animation organized a Career Guidance Programme on “Opportunities in the Visual Effects & Importance of Match Move in the Industry”through Google Meet on 08.05.2021, Saturday between 02.00 PM and 04.00 PM. The Programme commenced with the introduction given by Mr.P.Kishore Kumar, Head i/c cum Assistant Professor and the Welcome address was delivered by Mr.S.Praveen Kumar, Instructor of the department. The Resource person for the event was Mr. Mithun, 3D Match Move Artist & Trainer, Phantom FX, Chennai. He is a prominent Alumnus of the department (2012-2015 Batch), very keen to create awareness about VFX among the students.  He gave a demonstration and motivated the students by describing the pipeline of the film production, trends & techniques, the numerous openings and diverse career opportunities available in the Industry. He shared his experience and inspired students through the Discussion forum. The event helped the students to enrich and enhance their knowledge. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.I.Swetha of II Animation.

Totally 71 students were benefitted from this Programme.

The National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai, conducted an awareness programme on “Mask is the Armor”. The Programme conducted from 20-04-2021 to 30-04-2021 through google class room. The students from various departments are participated and created an awareness in their all nearby areas. 7 students participated.

The students from various departments are participated and created an awareness in their all nearby area of residence. 5 students participated in the programme.

Students from various departments participated and created an awareness among the people of nearby area. 17 students participated in the programme.

The Programme was conducted from 19-04-2021 to 30-04-2021 through google class room. The students from various departments are participated and created awareness among people of nearby places. 15 students participated in this programme.

COVID Awareness Programme

Youth Red Cross and red Ribbon Club of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai, conducted an awareness programme about COVID-19 on 25-04-2021 for the members of RRC and YRC members. They created an awareness among public through social media. 4 students contributed effectively.
