ZEAL, BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an Online Seminar on “Exploring technical and proficiency skills in logistics” on 30.05.2021. Mr.S.Makeswar, Alumni of BBA & Customer Care Executive, CMA CGM Shared Services India Private Limited, Chennai was the resource person. He explained the various skills to be developed in the area of logistics. He also clarified the skills with some realistic examples. Mr.K.Sundara Varadhan, Alumni of BBA & Customer Care Executive, CMA CGM Shared Services India Private Limited, Chennai was the resource person. The resource person explained the various employability related attributes related to logistics. He also clarified the competencies required in core logistics companies. ZEAL, BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an Online Seminar on “Industrial expectations in Logistics from BBA graduates” on 27.05.2021. Dr.G.Harisundar, Professor  & Director, Musaliar Institute of Management, Kerala was the resource person. He expounded the various industrial expectations in the field of logistics. Some real life and work related examples corresponding to these expectations were explained. Career Counseling Programme on “Diploma in Banking and Finance – Examination”

The Department of B.Com (B&I) organized a career counseling programme on “Diploma in Banking and Finance – Examination” on May, 26.05.2021. Mr.B.V.Eswaran  – Retired Bank Manager conducted an interactive session with students regarding the significance of clearing DBF examination and the ways and means to clear the examination.62 students of III B.Com B&I actively participated.

Webinar on “Role of Pre-Sales Consultants in IT Industry”

A webinar on “Role of Pre-Sales Consultants in IT Industry” was    organized on 22nd May 2021, from   11.00 am onwards by “Lakshya” the MBA Department association of MBA department. The Key Speaker Mr Samuel Prabhakaran, Sr. Consultant, Bosch, Chennai.   An alumnus of RLIMS MBA 2004-06 batch.46 MBA students got benefitted out of this program.  The program was very useful to students in understanding about the role of pre-sales consultants in the IT industry for a management graduate.

International Webinar on Visual Effects (VFX)

The Department of Animation organized an “International Webinar on Visual Effects (VFX)” through Google Meet on 16.05.2021, Sunday between 09.00 AM and 11.00 AM. The Programme commenced with the introduction given by Mr.P.Kishore Kumar, Head i/c cum Assistant Professor and the Welcome address was delivered by Mr.S.Praveen Kumar, Instructor of the department. The Resource person for the event was Mrs.Janavi Ramasamy, Senior Compositor, ZOIC Studio BC, Canada. She was invited to share her wisdom with audience, who were students in hopes of flourishing in this field. She gave new perspectives on the overview & process of Visual Effects in Industry. She gave her insights from time to time, on the common issues faced by the VFX crew in the main production. She emphasized the efficiency of visualization and widening of the writer’s creativity, because of CGI. She encouraged aspiring VFX artists to be confident in their dreams as the demand for VFX is constantly increasing. She built around the role of future media technologies and in fact, they dissected and explained the various nuances that link the advancement of VFX and its lasting effect on cinema. On the whole, the webinar was very interactive and informative. 72 students from the department attended the webinar.

The Red Ribbon Club of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai conducted an awareness programme on Usage of Face Masks from 23-04-2021 to 15-05-2021 through google class room. The students from various departments participated and created an awareness among the public. 33 students participated in the programme.

Department of MBA (RLIMS) conducted a webinar on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World” on 15-5-2021 Saturday from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Google meet. The 46 students from 1st year MBA and faculty members joined this webinar. Mr. Arun, Business Creator spoke on “Importance of Soft Skills in Corporate World”

Ms. Aarthy Chandrasekaran from 1st MBA coordinated for the successful conduct of this event. Ms. Fathima Praveen from 1st year MBA delivered the welcome address. Alumnus of RLIMS (2001-2003 Batch), Mr. Arun, Business Creator in Chemist Industry was the Chief Guest of the webinar.

Sebastian Shalvin,  Assistant Professor ( Culinary) ,  Department of Catering & Hotel Management, Hindusthan College of Arts And Science,  City Campus, Avinashi Road,  Coimbatore  represented as  Subject Experts,  Mr.Arul Mahendiran  ,Human Resources Manager, Somerset Greenways Chennai, represented as the Industrial Expert, Mr. Arunkumar ,Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Fortune Pandiyan Hotel, Race course, Alagar Kovil road, Madurai participated as an Alumni,  Mr. C. Sureshkumar, Head of the Department  represented as the Chairperson. The Department Faculty members, a Parent and a Student participated as members in the Board of Studies Meeting and gave their valid feedback and recommendations for framing the syllabus.
