Key Highlights:
The Department of CS (SSS) organized a workshop on “Cyber Security & Ethical Hacking” to the +2 completed students. The workshop was started with the welcome address by Mrs.S.Nirmala Devi, Assistant Professor of CS(SSS). The presidential address was delivered by the Principal Dr.R.Sujatha. Mrs.K.P.Maheswari, Assistant Professor of CS (SSS) introduced the Chief Guest Mr.Dinesh Paranthagan. The Chief Guest demonstrated about the basic security measures to be followed while using mobile phones. He also elaborated on various job opportunities in the cyber security industry. Ms.Abirami, Alumni (2019-22 batch) shared her experience about Value Added Course and job opportunities in the Department. Mrs.N.Auuradha, HoD, Department of CS (SSS), elaborated on the syllabus, value added course and various department activities. Mrs.G.Lavanya, Assistant Professor of CS (SSS) introduced the Chief Guest Mr.Sriram Nagarajan. The Chief Guest elaborated the importance of programming skills required in the cyber security domain. He also encouraged the students to develop programming skills. Finally vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs.V.Gayathri, Assistant Professor of CS (SSS). The association members of TechnoFest, Department of CS(SSS), compeered the entire session. |

PROGRAM ON PRINCIPLES OF TIME AND TASK MANAGEMENT
The Students Forum of SLCS conducted a program on PRINCIPLES OF TIME AND TASK MANAGEMENT on 31st May, 2022. Mr. Mahesh H Chauhan a members of Students Forum belonging to I B.Com (B&I), delivered the welcome address. The resource person for the program was Dr.R.Sujatha, Principal, SLCS. Dr.K.Archunan Vice-Principal addressed the gathering by quoting his real life experience. Further Dr.S.Priya, Dean-Academics motivated the students by her eloquent words. The resource person explained the role of time and task management to excel in real life. She also quoted the importance of a month, a week, a day, an hour, a minute, a second and a millisecond. Students also shared their own experience on management of time and task. The session was highly interactive. Further, a video clipping was played reciprocating the value of time and students thoroughly enjoyed the humorous clipping. At the end of the session a time based group event was conducted for students, which was useful and interesting. The session helped the students be aware of time and manage their task accordingly. Mr. LOKESH R of I B.Com (Hons), delivered the vote of thanks for the valedictory session. Totally 324 students benefitted from the session.

Industrial Visit to Hyderabad
Department of Animation Organized an Industrial visit to Hyderabad from 13th to 17thMay 2022 (5 days) for the II year B.Sc., Animation students. Totally 26 students accompanied by Mr.P.Kishore Kumar, Head (i/c) cum Asst. Prof., Mr.M.Abdul Aziz Hakkim, Asst. Prof., and Mrs.R.Suganthi Hepzibha, Asst. Prof.
On Day 1, First session of Sightseeing started from Birla Mandir and Salarjung Museum then secon session in Snow world and Buddha Purnima on Husain Sagar Lake. On Day 2, the whole day for enrichment at Ramoji Film City; students were exposed to Art production in Cinema. On Day 3, we had a visit to Golconda fort and Charminar in the morning, Mecca Masjid in the afternoon. “Seeing is the best way of learning”, students learned many things and enjoyed well during this trip.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
The Department of Computer Science (SSS) organized an Industrial Visit from 09.05.2022 to 10.05.2022 for the students of I, II & III B.Sc CS (SSS) to Ozone Cyber Security, Cochin, Kerala. Totally 116 students participated in the industrial visit and five faculty members accompanied along with the students.
As our department is specialized in cyber security domain, this visit was planned. Ms.Gayathri, Security Analyst of Ozone Cyber Security handled the session to our students. She explained cyber security domain in real time and also explained skill set required for cyber security analyst.
She also explained their current projects to whom (Clients) they are working for. She insisted the students to develop the skill for security tools & techniques required for cyber security domain. Students of II & III years interacted with her and clarified their doubts. Overall the Industrial Visit was very useful for the students and they thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
VALUE ADDED COURSE ON “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING”
The Departments of Computer Science and Networking jointly conducted a Value Added Course on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning” for students of III Year Computer Science and Networking from 02.05.2022 to 06.05.2022. Mr.Nanu swamy, President, Maxelerator Foundation with his team members trained the students. Students were trained in the working principles of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Python Programming. The hands-on sessions were conducted for the students which helped them to create projects and products using various AI & ML Algorithms. The students were divided into 06 teams under different names and Logos. Practical tasks were assigned by the trainers on a daily basis. All the teams developed products using AI & ML Concepts. Totally 62 students got benefited through this program (Computer Science: 40, Networking: 22) .This program would enhance the employability of the students. The Valedictory program was conducted wherein the students demonstrated their developed projects and explained their work through presentations. Certificates were distributed to the students and feedback was collected.
ADMINISTRATIVE TRAINING PROGRAM -“HOW TO USE SMART PHONES IN A SMART AND SAFE WAY”
The Department of Computer Science conducted a Administrative Training Program on “HOW TO USE SMART PHONES IN A SMART AND SAFE WAY?” for all the Non-Teaching and Administrative staff members on 13th, April 2022 at 03.00. p.m in F33 classroom. A total of 12 members participated in this event.The session started with a prayer. The welcome address was given by Mrs.G.Lavanya, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CS. The presidential address was given by Dr.R.Sujatha, Principal, SLCS. She stressed the importance of web browser security in daily activities. The felicitation address was given by Dr.S.Priya, Dean, SLCS, who motivated them to participate in various events.
The first technical session was handled by Mrs.S.Nirmala Devi, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CS. She explained about the Mobile security that how to use the smart phones in a safe manner. The second session was handled by Mrs.V.Gayathri, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CS. She explained the two step verification, Google Chrome security, Face book security and Whats App security features. Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Mrs.G.Lavanya, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CS.

A total of 12 members participated in this event. The Session started with a prayer. The welcome Address was given by Dr.S.Priya, Dean, Who motivated the students to participate in various events.
The first Technical session was handled by Mrs.S.Nirmala Devi, Assistant Professor, Dept of CS. She explained the concept of Mobile Security and how to use the smart phones in a safe manner. Seminar on “Networking – Dynamic Routing Protocol”
The department of Computer Science (SSS) organized a webinar on “Networking – Dynamic Routing Protocol” for the students of II B.Sc CS (SSS) on 05-04-2022 from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM at seminar hall. Ms.A.Subashini & Ms.N.Sivashankari of II B.Sc CS (SSS) compered the entire session.
The programme was started with the welcome address delivered by Mr.S.Visagan of II B.Sc CS(SSS). Mr.Michael, Senior Trainer Professional in Elysium Academy Private Limited, Madurai was the resource person for this session. Special address was delivered by Mrs.N.Anuradha, Head of the Department,CS(SSS). Chief guest was introduced delivered by Mr.S.R.Aathithyan of II B.Sc CS(SSS).Mrs.V.Gayathri, AP,CS(SSS) in her felicitation address explained the purpose of organizing “Networking – Dynamic Routing Protocol” seminar.
Mr.Michael, the resource person, explained the concept of ad-hoc network, dynamic routing protocol and various metric standards for network routing.He explained about the various routing algorithms such as link state , Djikstra algorithm, Bellman-Ford routing algorithms and Ford-Fulkerson routing algorithms, global routing algorithms,decentralized routing algorithms and its real time implementation.He further demonstrated the routing protocols and its working with the help of cisco packet tracing tool.Totally 86 students from I & II B.Sc CS(SSS) particiapted in the seminar.
Finally the session was ended with a vote of thanks rendered by Ms.Tharuni of I B.Sc CS(SSS).
