Department of Commerce (Honours) Conducted the First Board of Studies Meeting for I year B.Com (Honours) – ACCA Specialization students on 23/08/2019 afternoon at SLCS Board Room. Dr. M. Tharani, HoD(i/c) of Commerce (Honours) presented the Syllabus in front of Madurai Kamaraj University Nominee Dr.A.Mayilmurugan, Head, Associate Professor of Commerce, The Madura College, Subject Expert Dr. Karthikeyan, Dean and Controller of Examinations,  Vivekananda College, Tiruvedakam and Industry Expert CA Sarvesh Mopkar, a Senior Lecturer from ISDC Projects India Pvt. Ltd. Dr. B. Ramamoorty, The Principal along with Dr.R. L. Ramnath,  NAAC Advisor, felicitated the  Board of Studies meeting.

oard of Studies meeting for the academic year 2018 – 2019 Even Semester was held on 19-12-2018 at 3.00 pm, in MBA Hall. The examination mode for Environmental studies in II semester has been changed from descriptive mode to online mode. These changes will come into effect from the 2018-19 even semester onwards.

Department of Commerce organized a Guest Lecture on Principles and Practice of Accounting to B.Com honours students. Auditor.S.Ramamoorthy delivered the lecture. He taught Accounting with live examples and case studies. Around 45 students participated and got benefited. Students felt that it was very useful to them to appear for CA foundation Exam.

The first Board of studies meeting for B.Com Honours course was conducted on 17.10.2018 in the Board room between 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The resource persons and the members of BOS gave their valuable suggestions in framing the syllabus and the syllabus for B.Com Honours for the academic year 2018-19 was approved by all.
