v To celebrate 75 Years of Indian Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav)

v To conduct various competitions such as Essay Writing, Drawing, Singing, Slogan formulation on various themes like Ideas@75, Achievements@75 and Actions@75.

v To imbibe culture of patriotism in the minds of the younger generations.

v To motivate the students to be a responsible citizen of India.

The following competitions were held between 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

v The essay and drawing competition on the theme “Vision for India” was conducted in the drawing hall of Animation Department at 11.00a.m. Totally, 11 students from various departments participated in the essay competition and 5 members participated in drawing  competition.

v Faculty members from different departments visited the drawing hall and encouraged the students.

v The singing competition on patriotic theme focused on Achievements @ 75 was conducted in the Audio Lab of Viscom Department at 11.00 a.m.  Totally, 9 students participated in the competition under the encouragement of 14 faculty members.

v The slogan competition on the theme Actions @ 75 was conducted in the drawing hall of Animation Department. Totally, 5 students participated in slogan competition under the encouragement of 12 faculty members.

v The students participated enthusiastically in various competitions conducted in the mentioned two days and exhibited their patriotism through their performance.

v The essays, drawings and slogans exhibited the essence of patriotism for India, and also the honor that they pay for our country.

v The winners were awarded for their performance in various competitions.

v To highlight IIC – institution’s achievement and impact through poster display

v To demonstrate innovation and start ups from the host institute and other IIC institutions.

v To create policy awareness on YUKTI – National Innovation Repository (NIR), participatory approach, achievement and performance maximization through quality participation in HEIs’

v To engage in regional ecosystem for an effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The expert speakers elaborated the following major points to the participants,

v The meeting started with registration and a formal inaugural session followed by Poster Display and visit to Innovation and Startup model display.

v Smt. Mamta Rani Agarwal, Advisor – AICTE, presented the importance of Multicultural Reliability, Innovation in Technology, Industrial /Academic set up and understanding the society.

v Dr. R. Srinivasan, Member Secretary, TNSCST, explained the importance of Inter-disciplinary approach in establishing the quality education through innovation and entrepreneurship.

v Mr. Dipan Kumar Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, explained about the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self Reliance India) and also informed that India is emerging as a Startup Nation.

v In the afternoon, the session was subdivided into four sub-sessions as follows

1.      Creation and sustaining I & E ecosystems in HEIs.

2.      Visualizing and developing action plan for I & E Ecosystem Development in HEIs.

3.      Benchmark Measuring I & E ecosystem in HEIs and Impact Creation.

4.      IP and Technology Transfer.

The participants were able to,

v Understand how HEI is able to create an impact towards institution’s achievement by analyzing and observing the display of posters.

v Observe various innovative models and start ups done by various institutions through IIC.

v Get awareness on YUKTI – National Innovative Repository (NIR) achievement and performance maximization through quality participation of HEIs,

v Gain knowledge on the importance of creation and sustaining innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, knowledge on visualizing and developing action plan for I & E ecosystem, benchmark measuring I & E Ecosystem in HEIs through knowledge sharing.

v Total No. of Teaching Staff participated: 3

v To create awareness among the villagers about the conservation of nature

v To explain various methods of protecting the nature like avoiding deforestation, saving water, utilizing natural resources properly.

v The Students of III BBA prepared Posters on the theme “Protecting the Environment and Conservation of Nature” and visited Thirupparankundram village (Hill Area) which is around 12 kms from the College campus.

v The students elaborated to the villagers, about the consequences of the deforestation that may lead to scarcity of rainfall and subsequent climate change

v The students briefed the importance of conservation of nature for the future generation.

v The students also discussed the various measures to be taken for conservation of nature.

v The villagers in Thirupparankundram understood the importance of conservation of nature.

v They also assured that they will follow the guidelines and procedures for protecting the nature and assured to create awareness among the people in that locality.

v To create awareness among the villagers about the effect of population growth and the steps to control the population growth.

v To explain various ideas for developing our country economically, by controlling population

v The Students of I BBA prepared Posters on the theme “Population Control and Nation Development” and visited Aviyur village which is around 8 kms from the College campus.

v The students elaborated the consequences of the population growth as it may lead to poverty, water scarcity, unemployment and maternal mortality.

v The students briefed the importance of controlling population and how it helps to develop our country economically.

v The students also discussed the various measures taken by Government of India in controlling population.

v The villagers in Aviyur understood the importance of population growth and promised that they will follow the guidelines for controlling population growth.

v They also assured that they will create awareness among the younger generations in that locality.

v To create passion among the students about International Business Opportunities  through innovative shipping practices

v To understand the innovative methods of shipping practices that enhances chartering, Exporting, Licensing, Franchising etc

The expert speaker elaborated the following major points to the participants

v He explained the basic nature of the ships and the cargo handling in the port and also the basic understanding of international business practices like Exporting, Chartering, Cargo handling etc.

v He shared his experience and the ways of sustaining the international business opportunities.

v Many students enquired about the life style and the way how ships and crew members are managed. The participants also asked the role of insurance management in shipping

v The participants were able to understand the basic innovative practices in Chartering, Cargo Handling, and Insurance Management.

v The participants had the basic understanding of various types of Cargo Ships and the loading methods creating the International Business Opportunities

v  To identify the problem and address it with systematic and Innovative solution

v  To understand the connectivity between the solution and problem which is inevitable

v  To enhance thinking skill and to find out the methods and ways for establishing entrepreneurship by applying innovative solution

The expert speaker briefly explained the following major points to the participants

v  He suggested cultivating a different way of thinking for obtaining the solution for a problem.

v  He explained the 4 levels of the course (free) for “Out of the Box Thinking for problem solving”

v  He gave live examples of Apple – Knife – Stone Theory and suggested to sharpen the brain for innovative thinking.

v  He quoted a couplet from “Thirukkural” and explained the importance of numbers and alphabets in problem solving method. He gave other examples of “Pallaankuzhi” game for mathematics to demonstrate another way of thinking. He also gave various illustrations for thinking differently for problem solving in Mathematics.

v He insisted on Education based on stories and examples like “Patti and Pongal”

v  The participants were able to understand the basic concept of innovation for problem.

v  They were able to understand how the innovative thinking helps to solve the problem and also to enhance entrepreneurship in business world.

v To enhance the importance of Office Management through simple innovative management techniques.

The speaker discussed and presented the following topics of Office Management

v Roles and responsibilities

v Qualities to become a leader

v Innovation through Planning, Organizing, Directing and Controlling

v The non teaching members of our institution were benefited by this programme and they assured to implement the strategies in their job.

v To create awareness about the evil effects of Pollution

v To insist on avoidance of plastic usage and to grow more trees to save the Planet earth

v The Students of I BBA prepared Posters on the theme “Avoid Pollution” and visited the Valayankulam Village, nearby our College.

v The students took a rally from our College to Valayankulam village which is around 2 Kms.

v They explained the evil effects of Pollution and advised to plant more trees to make the surrounding environment greener.

v The students were accompanied by Mr. B. Vairamuthu, AP – Department of BBA

v The villagers and the businessmen in and around Valayankulam village appreciated the students and their concern in protecting the environment and saving the earth. .

v To create a passion among the students about entrepreneurship through innovation

v To identify the opportunities for startup business through innovation and apply methods to develop innovative (creative) solutions in relation to Entrepreneurship

v The expert speaker presented a case study on “Education App” to the students and asked them to provide innovative ideas to develop the business in the current scenario.

v She also explained that the Innovation and creativity are the basic strategy for generating Intellectual property that leads to entrepreneurship through start up

v She also presented the various ways of managing risk in business and informed that she can guide budding entrepreneurs who have passion towards creativity and innovation.

v The participants were able to understand the basic concept of innovation in Business and the ways of implementing innovative tactics that helps the entrepreneurs towards sustainability of the business and generation of profit.
