ZEAL, BBA Association of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a training program on “5S practices” on 30.03.2022 for the non teaching staff of the college. Dr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram, AP,Department of  BBA was the resource person. Ms.S.Nishalakshmi,  a student of I BBA joined him as a co-trainer. He explained in detail the various strategies and processes needed for 5S training. The participants found the training program to be very lively and interesting. A total of 21 staff members participated and got benefited in this program.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on “Recent trends in Business & Commerce” on 25.03.2022 for final year UG commerce students of Amman Arts and Science College, Dindigul. Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA has addressed the session as the resource person. Mr.R.Gopi (II BBA), Ms.V.Gobika (II BBA) and Ms.C.Aarthy (I BBA) have accompanied the resource person as co-trainers. The resource person along with his co-trainers elaborated the basics of business, commerce along with its latest developments. Some interesting case studies and real life examples were also narrated. A total of 96 students participated and got benefited through this seminar.

A Career counseling programme was organized and conducted by the Department of BBA, for the III Year students of BBA from 10.03.2022 to 15.03.2022.  23 students from BBA Third year participated in this programme

 

Mr. Balasundar, BSA Academy, Mr. P. Rengaraj, Administrative Officer – Sagar Sandesh and Dr. B. Meenakshi Sundaram, Faculty BBA., counseled the students on the following topics.

• English Communication
• Aptitude
• Port Operations
• Basic Geography for Logistics

Outcome:

• This programme helped the students to appear for the selection process and subsequent interview conducted by the CMA CGM on 03.2022 to 15.03.2022
• This programme also helped the students in guiding them for preplanning training for recruitment.
• Students participated well and obtained the basic knowledge for attending the interview.

The Consumer Awareness Club along with ZEAL, Department of BBA Association organized SLCS SAMAJ SEVA – Outreach Programme on  “Creating Basic Awareness on Consumer Rights” on 15.03.2022 (World Consumer Rights Day) (Tuesday) at Valayankulam Village, Madurai District.

The Program started at 10.00 a.m.wherein Dr. K. Rajesh Kumar – HOD BBA and Mr. B. Vairamuthu – Assistant Professor, BBA along with the Students of I BBA and II BBA participated in the event. The participants took a rally along the Aruppukottai Road National Highway and reached Valayankulam village. They also created awareness among the consumers about the basic consumer rights by carrying the Placards with messages on consumer rights.

26 students from I BBA and 29 students from II BBA (Totally 55 students) including the members of Consumer Awareness Club were benefited by this programme.  The programme was well appreciated by the village people.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an outreach activity, “Swachh Bharat – Cleaning Drive” at Samanar Hills, Keelakuilkudi on 15.03.2022.  26 students from I BBA and 29 students from II BBA participated in this outreach activity along with Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA & Mr.B.Vairamuthu, AP – BBA. This program was organized under the banner of  SLCS Samaaj Seva activity of our college. Students collected plastic waste in the surrounding areas, thereby applied their skills inculcated from the Environmental Studies Course which was taught to them in their I Semester.

 

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized SLCS Samaaj Seva – an outreach activity, “Awareness on road safety” at Alagar Hills, Madurai on 14.03.2022. Students created awareness by carrying placards.  Two wheeler and share auto riders were gently counseled and advised on the advantages and importance of road safety. Transportation with safety and precautionary measures is an integral part of logistics. 19 students from I BBA and 29 students from II BBA participated in this outreach activity along with Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA & Mr.B.Vairamuthu, AP – BBA.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a factory visit to Coffee Research Station, Thandigudi, Kodaikanal on 11.03.2022. The students were elaborated about the various processes related to procurement of coffee beans and the manufacturing of coffee powder. The logistics operations involved in this process were also explained to them. The students had a great learning experience. Totally 59 students comprising of I and II year BBA participated and got benefited through this visit. The students were accompanied by Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA & Dr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram, AP – BBA.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a training program on “Stress Management” on 09.03.2022 for top level employees of Ruby Food Products Private Limited, Madurai. Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA has been invited as the resource person. He elaborated the various reasons related to stress management and the ways and means to tackle it. The participants found the training program to be so dynamic and interesting. A total of 14 employees participated and got benefited through this program.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity “Awareness program on Eat healthy, Stay healthy” on 27.02.2022 at Agrini Enclave, Madurai. 6 students from II BBA participated actively in the extension activity along with Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA. The students reiterated upon the benefits of healthy organic foods and the hazards faced by consuming junk and fast foods. The residents of Agrini Enclave, Madurai appreciated the students for this noble cause. This program was organized under the banner of  SLCS Samaaj Seva activity of our college. The students also exhibited some of their learning on the Value Education Course which was taught to them in their I Semester.

 

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai joined hands with Mrs.Saranya Suthandra Pandian, Founder & Director, Next Gen Sprouted Health Mix, Madurai for imparting hands on training on the new product launch on 27.02.2022. Totally 6 students from II year BBA participated and got benefited by this training program which was accompanied by Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA. The students helped in launching organic green and black pepper, coffee beans at a stall in Agrini Enclave, Madurai. The lady entrepreneur was very thankful to the students and the department for their commendable support throughout the session.
