ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity “Donating tree saplings” on 26.02.2022 for women laborers from Eliyarpathi village. 8 students from II BBA participated actively in the extension activity. The students were accompanied by faculty members Dr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram and Mr.B.Vairamuthu.  This program was organized under the banner of  SLCS Samaaj Seva activity of our college. The students also exhibited some of their learning on the Environmental Studies Course which was taught to them in their II Semester.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a skit on “Effective Parenting Management” as a part of an extension activity(SLCS-Samaj Seva) on 26.02.2022 for women laborers from Eliyarpathi village. 8 students from II BBA participated actively in the extension activity. The students were accompanied by our faculty members Dr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram and Mr.B.Vairamuthu.  Two teams consisting of 4 students each performed a skit to portray the differences between effective and ineffective parenting. The skit contained positive messages on the impact of effective parenting. . The students when they staged the skit  also exhibited some of the concepts  in the Value Education Course which was taught to them in their I Semester.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a workshop on “Business Development Skills” on 25.02.2022. Mrs.Saranya Suthandra Pandian, Founder & Director, Next Gen Sprouted Health Mix, Madurai, was the resource person. Totally 34 students from II year BBA participated and got benefited by this workshop. The resource person cited some real life examples of various skills related to business. Students were given ample opportunities to exhibit their entrepreneurial skills.

 

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity “Cleaning drive at Teppakulam, Madurai” on 16.02.2022. 3 students from II BBA participated actively in the extension activity. This activity was organized as a part of the Swachh Bharat initiative promoted by the central government. This program was organized under the Samaaj Seva activity of our college. Students collected plastic waste in the surrounding areas.The students also exhibited some of their learning in the Environmental Studies Course which was taught to them in their I Semester.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on “Key result areas for holistic development” on 07.02.2022. Mr.S.Makeshwar, Founder, Mak Enterprises & Trainer– Mak soft skill Academy (Alumni of BBA), was the resource person. Totally 57 students comprising I and II year BBA participated and got benefited through the program. The resource person explained in detail various skills needed for overall personality development and the competencies needed for career development.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity “Free diabetes and ENT camp” on 06.02.2022 in association with Harshini Multi Specialty Hospital, Madurai. 47 villagers from Solanguruni, Valayankulam, Eliyarpathi and Nedumadurai (neighboring villages) participated and got benefited through the camp. Lion Dr.M.G.Rajinikanth, MD of Harshini Multi Specialty Hospital presided over the camp. 4 students from I BBA and 1 student from II BBA helped towards the successful conduct of the camp under the guidance of Dr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram & Mr.B.Vairamuthu, faculty members of BBA. The villagers thanked the organizers for this noble initiative and wished that many more camps are conducted in the near future. This activity was organized as a part of the Samaaj Seva initiative promoted by our college.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity, “Awareness on the importance of thrift in family” on 29.01.2022.  13 underprivileged women from Nedumadurai, Valayankulam and Eliyarpatti (neighboring villages) participated and got benefited through the event held in the institution. Dr.B.Meenakshi Sundaram, AP – BBA coordinated the event with the support of Mr.B.Vairamuthu, AP – BBA. This activity was conducted as a part of the Samaaj Seva initiative promoted by the institution. The beneficiaries learnt the importance of thrift and the means of achieving it in the family. A questionnaire was also distributed to the participants and responses were generated to study their current awareness status towards thrift.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized an extension activity, “Helmet Awareness Campaign” on 22.01.2022.  Students created awareness by carrying placards.  Two wheeler riders without wearing helmets were gently counseled and advised on the advantages and importance of wearing helmets. Transportation with safety and precautionary measures is an integral part of logistics. 6 students from I BBA and 4 students from II BBA participated in this extension activity.

ZEAL, an Association of BBA Department, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a seminar on “The role of Digital Marketing in International Trade” on 22.01.2022. Mr.Mani Maran Ramalingam, Digital Transformation & Marketing Consultant has been invited as the resource person. Totally 25 students from I year BBA and 27 students from II year BBA participated and got benefited through the program. The resource person has elaborated the basics of digital marketing, the ways and means of using it in international trade. He also briefed some latest update in digital marketing.

The Following Points were discussed

1. The Parents Teachers’ Meeting started at 03.15 p.m. through Google Platform. The Link for the Meetings was sent to the students at 03.15 p.m.
2. K. Rajesh Kumar HOD inaugurated the meeting. Dr. B. Meenakshi Sundaram, Assistant Professor welcomed all the students and their parents. The performance of the I BBA students in I Internal Test and the percentage of attendance as on December 2021 were informed to all the parents. The details regarding the payment of fees on or before January 2022 was also intimated to all the parents.
3. Out of 32 students, 29 Students along with the parents attended the meeting. Remaining 3 students expressed their inability to attend the meeting due to urgent meeting at their offices and emergency situations.
4. Some parents requested us to arrange for extra coaching class to improve the performance of the students and also to inform them about the timing of evening bus schedule and also to send results through common SMS.
5. The meeting ended at 05.00 p.m.
