The School of Animation and Media Studies (SAMS) at Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai, successfully hosted a Power Seminar on “AVGC – Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics” on October 21, 2024, via Google Meet in association with ICT Academy. The seminar featured Mrs. Karunya Gunavathy, Founder of Raphael Creatives, as the distinguished resource person. Mrs. Gunavathy, an industry expert with extensive experience in the AVGC sector, began the session with an overview of the latest advancements and opportunities in animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics. She highlighted the growing demand for skilled professionals in these fields and emphasized the importance of creativity, technical expertise, and continuous learning to stay competitive.
She also discussed emerging trends such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), which are reshaping the future of entertainment and media.
Students and faculty members attended the event, and the seminar provided a platform for both learning and networking. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of the AVGC industry’s evolving landscape and the skills required succeeding in this dynamic sector. Totally 99 students were participated in the workshop and benefitted.
