MEMORY GAME (Material Identification)
The members of Techie Quest Club organized an Intra College competition “MEMORY GAME (Material Identification)” on 09.03.2021 at 10.00 AM in F40 Hall. I year and II year students from various departments participated in this event. The club co-ordinator Mrs.V.Gayathri, Assistant Professor of CS welcomed the participants and announced the rules and regulations of this event.
Totally 59 students participated in this event. It is a single participant game. The game was organized in 3 rounds. Students were divided into 3 batches. The first round was a common round for all the participants. The students those who cleared the first round were shortlisted for the second round. Totally 23 students participated in the second round and 10 of them got selected for the third round.
Industrial Visit to Milky Mist
The “Lakshya” Association of MBA department went on an Industrial visit on 09.03.2022 to Milky Mist, Erode. Students gained knowledge of industry operations, understanding of safety and hygiene, gained exposure to career opportunities, and network opportunities.
Totally, 32 students and 3 faculty members participated in the industrial visit, Dr R Sivajothi and Dr D Abraham Pradeep were the coordinators.
MIME COMPETITION
The members of Internet Club conducted the “MIME” competition on 09.03.2022 at seminar Hall. Students of I and II year from various departments participated in the event. The club coordinator Ms.T.Shunmuga Priya, delivered the welcome address and announced the rules and regulations of the event. The theme of the event was “No War, Only Peace”. Totally, 11 students participated in the event. This event helped building cooperative nature among students. Students actively depicted scenes with innovative ideas and expression. Finally two teams were awarded prizes. It was really an entertaining and informative event for the participants.
Carving Competition
The Culinary Club conducted a Carving Competition on 09.03.2022. The competition was held between 11.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. It was open to all the students of various departments. Students have enrolled their names in an enthusiastic way to the convener for the Carving Competition. The participants were asked to carve any objects by using soap and chalk piece. 08 students have participated in this competition and the judgment was given by Mrs.P.Deepalakshmi, and Ms.D.Swetha, of FS&PM department.
WORKSHOP ON ROBOTICS
Technofest, an association of Department of Computer Science (Security System Specialization) organized a workshop on Robotics for I & II B.Sc. CS (SSS) students. The workshop was held from 07/03/2022 to 09/03/2022 at 09.30AM and went on upto 04.15PM in Academic Lab II. The workshop was started with the welcome address by R.Divya, I B.Sc. CS (SSS). The presidential address & the Chief Guest introduction were given by Mrs.N.Anuradha, Head, Department of CS (SSS). Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by A.Deepak, I B.Sc. CS (SSS).
The Chief Guest Mr.Sriram Nagarajan, Co Founder & CEO, RoboRAM Technologies, Nagercoil, elaborated on the basics of robotics and importance of robotics in all technical fields. Students also had a hands-on training using the frame work “Tinkercad”. The association members of TechnoFest, Department of CS(SSS) compered the entire session. Totally, 52 students attended the session and got benefitted.
Training program on “Stress Management”
ZEAL, an Association of BBA, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai organized a training program on “Stress Management” on 09.03.2022 for top level employees of Ruby Food Products Private Limited, Madurai. Dr.K.Rajesh Kumar, HoD – BBA has been invited as the resource person. He elaborated the various reasons related to stress management and the ways and means to tackle it. The participants found the training program to be so dynamic and interesting. A total of 14 employees participated and got benefited through this program.
INSTRUMENT PLAYING
The members of Techie Quest Club organized an Intra College competition “Instrument Playing” on 08.03.2021 at 11.00 AM in F40 Hall. I year and II year students from various departments participated in this event. The club co-ordinator Mrs.V.Gayathri, Assistant Professor of CS welcomed the participants and announced the rules and regulations of this event.
Totally 06 students participated in this event. It is a single participant game. The game was organized in 2 categories such as Rhythm & Percussion.
HANDS-ON TRAINING ON MS-OFFICE TOOLS – I
The Department of Computer Science (SSS), as a part of its Extension Activity (SLCS – Samaaj Seva), organized a program “Hands-on Training on MS-Office Tools – I” on 07.03.2022 from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM at our Internet Lab for the 8th standard students from T.P.K.P.U Middle School, Nedumadurai. Six students from II B.Sc CS (SSS) gave training in MS-Paint to the school students. They explained all the tools and menus in MS-Paint. Finally they made the school students to draw car, house and scenery in MS-Paint. Overall 24 students from T.P.K.P.U Middle School, Nedumadurai got benefitted by involving themselves in this activity.
Webinar on “Cyber Forensics”
The Department of Networking through NETKINGS organized a webinar on “Cyber Forensics” on 05.03.2022.The program was started with the prayer. Ms.R.K.HariLakshmi,II Networking delivered the welcome address. Inaugural address was delivered by our Principal Dr.R.Sujatha and felicitation address was given by our Vice Principal Dr.K.Archunan. Dr.S.Priya, Dean, Academics, delivered special address. Mr.M.Athigopal introduced the chief guest Mr.S.Kabilan, Security Engineer, Invygo, Coimbatore. He enlightened students on Kali Linux operating system with execution of its commands. He explained briefly the techniques used in cyber forensics for scanning the networks and enumeration concept. Also there was a hands on session on social media hijacking. The chief guest also explained ethical hacking tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, Aircrack-Ng and network security algorithms such as RSA, DES, and AES were also discussed. The students who participated got an exposure towards bug bounty and Catch The Flag (CTF) events, which will be helpful for their employability. Totally 27 students from I & II Networking were benefited through this webinar. Ms.P.Susmitha , II Networking proposed the Vote of thanks.
