Creative Journeys Exploring Graphic Design as a Career Path

The School of Animation and Media Studies (SAMS) organized a seminar cum Alumni Interaction session titled “Creative Journeys: Exploring Graphic Design as a Career Path.” The event featured Ms. Swetha I, an alumna from the 2019-2022 B.Sc. Animation batch, as the esteemed resource person. A total of 32 students from II B.Sc. Animation participated in  the session.

The session aimed to provide students with insights into the dynamic field of graphic design, drawing from Ms. Swetha’s professional experiences and journey. She shared her personal narrative of transitioning from a student at SAMS to a successful graphic designer, shedding light on the challenges, opportunities, and key skills required to thrive in the industry.

Ms. Swetha highlighted the importance of building a strong design portfolio, mastering essential tools and staying updated with emerging trends in the graphic design landscape. She also emphasized the significance of creativity, adaptability, and effective communication in delivering impactful designs that resonate with clients and audiences alike.

The interactive session allowed students to engage with Ms. Swetha directly, seeking advice on career opportunities, industry expectations, and the pathways to becoming a successful designer. Her insights on art, technology, and design inspired students to explore their potential in the field of animation and design.
