The Capshine Language Enhancement Program

The college has enrolled a mixed of I year, II year, III year students along with faculty members in Capshine English Language Enhancement Program. The total number of learners inclusive of first batch and second batch is 639. The hon’ble President of the college Dr.R. Lakshmipathy, Joint Managing Editor of Dinamalar signed an MoU with Mr.Satya Prabhakar the CEO of Sulekha, Capshine. The app has been mapped with the following metrics in NAAC, Criterion 1,2,3,5 and 7. The feedback given by the students is overwhelming and the Star Speaker session saw our Dean Academics Dr.S.Priya win the award of Star Speaker for the month of March 2023 in Capshine.

MoU signing ceremony

The Curriculum Development Cell organized a Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU) signing ceremony with the hon’ble President of the colleg Dr.R.Lakshmipathy, Joint Managing Editor of Dinamalar and Mr.Satya Prabhakar  the CEO of Sulekha, Capshine on 23rd January,2023.   Under the MoU the faculty members and the students are offered English Language Enhancement Program. The Capshine app is found to be very useful to develop the proficiency and the employability skills of the learners. A total number of 639 learners inclusive of faculty members have registered in the “Learn It Together”. platform for the Academic Year 2022-23.

NATIONAL VOTER’S DAY

The Electoral literacy club of SLCS commemorated the national voter’s day on 25.01.2022 by taking the pledge as follows.

“We, the citizens of India having, abiding faith in democracy, hereby pledge to uphold the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any other inducement”.

Totally 15 faculty members participated.

COVID Vaccination Camp

National Service Scheme (Unit 105) and Youth Red Cross of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai conducted a vaccination camp entitled ‘COVID Free India’ for Teachers, Staff members and students. It was held at Valayankulam Primary Health Center, Madurai. 248 people were benefited and an awareness about vaccination had been created among general public. Of total members who got vaccination 203 people got their both dose I and dose II. The camp was conducted on the following dates:

Eco Club-One day camp to watering the trees and plants

The Eco club members were assigned to watering the nearby trees and plants on 20th, July 2021 in Google Meet through Google Class room. Students from various departments participated in this programme. The student’s identified various trees and plants near to their home and watered it. 12 students participated in this camp.

Eco Club – Discussion on basics of Environment

The Eco club organised a session to perceive the concept of environment on 13th, July 2021 in Google Meet through Google Class room. Students from various departments participated in this session. The student’s shared their perception on the concept of environment and submitted it by write up. 11 students participated in this Session.

Quiz on International Yoga Day

National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science gently guided the students to instantly take a quiz on International day of yoga 2021. 13 students voluntarily participated in the quiz in the month of June 2021 which was efficiently conducted by the Ministry of Ayush and My gov.The Following students were participated in this quiz competition.

Participation in Yoga Appreciation Programme

National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai guided and motivated the students to celebrate the International Yoga Day by participating in the Yoga Appreciation programme during the month of June 2021 under the guidance of Dakshin Yoga Kendra which is organized by the Ministry of Ayush. 11 Faculty Members and 141 students are participated in this programme successfully and have received the certificates.

Participation in Quiz to commemorate World Blood Donor Day

National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science gently guided the students to instantly take a quiz to commemorate World Blood Donor Day in the month of June 2021. 7 students voluntarily participated in the quiz in the month of June 2021 which efficiently conducted by Madurai Sivakasi Nadars Meenakshi Women’s College.
