School of Animation and Media Studies, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science (Autonomous) organized an Alumni Interaction cum Career Guidance Program on “Anitalk on Edit Like a Pro: Essential Skills for Video Editing” on 29.07.2024 at our Editing Lab – SAMS. We have invited
Ms. Pratickha N M J, an alumnus of the School of Animation and Media Studies from the batch 2021-24.
Ms. Pratickha covered essential skills, including storytelling and technical proficiency, and demonstrated key editing techniques using popular software. The interactive Q&A session fostered engagement, allowing students to gain valuable advice on career pathways and networking. It reinforced the critical role of alumni engagement in enhancing the educational experience, with participants expressing gratitude for the insights shared. Overall, the event successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and real-world application, providing students with a clearer understanding of the skills needed to excel in video editing.
The program successfully connected students with industry insights, reinforcing the importance of alumni contributions to their education. In conclusion, the program not only inspired students to pursue their passions in video editing with renewed confidence but also highlighted the importance of mentorship and guidance in shaping their future careers.
