The School of Animation and Media Studies (SAMS) at Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science (SLCS) organized an Alumni Interaction cum Career Counselling Session on “Understanding Corporate Etiquette” on 05.10.2024. A total of 59 students from II B.Sc. Animation, II B.Sc. Visual Communication, III B.Sc. Animation and III B.Sc.Visual Communication participated in the session. Led by Mr. Ajith Kumar P., Director of Anugrha Design Solution Pvt Ltd, the session aimed to equip students with essential skills for professional environments, focusing on areas like communication, office decorum, and workplace etiquette. As an alumnus, Mr. Ajith Kumar shared valuable insights on adaptability, teamwork, and professionalism, illustrated through real-world scenarios.
Mr. Ajith also shared the inspiring story of Dr. G. Venkataswamy, founder of Aravind Eye Hospitals. Despite severe rheumatoid arthritis that left him bedridden, Dr. V. went on to perform over one hundred thousand eye surgeries, exemplifying resilience and dedication. Through this story, Mr. Ajith emphasized the power of perseverance and a commitment to service, encouraging students to adopt these values.
The session received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with students appreciating the practical advice. They left with a clearer understanding of corporate expectations, feeling better prepared to transition from academic life to professional careers
