The Department of Commerce (HONS) – ACCA organized an industrial visit to PARLE-G FACTORY, MADURAI, on 12.09.2026. During the visit, the students gained practical exposure to the production process, management practices, and human resource management followed in the organization. They understood the various stages involved in the manufacturing and packaging of biscuits, along with the functioning of machinery and equipment used in the production process. The students found the production planning, quality control, and packaging activities particularly interesting. They also gathered valuable information about the company’s initiatives in product innovation, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and maintaining quality standards. A total of 72 students from ACCA and Honours, accompanied by faculty members, participated in the industrial visit.
