The Medius Coronet Association of the School of Animation and Media Studies organised an “film screening” session of the Animation film “K-Pop and the Demon Hunters” on 29.11.2025 from 12.40 PM to 1.30 PM for the students of First and Second year of B.Sc. Animation (Visual Effects and Film production Specialization) and Final year students of B.Sc. Visual Communication (Film and Television Production Specialization) at Animation Academic Lab – 2 (S47). Mr.S.Naveen Kumar, Assistant Professor, School of Animation and Media Studies decode the movie and help the students to do analysis.

The film follows a globally famous K-pop girl group who secretly live double lives not just as pop idols, but as elite demon hunters. While they perform sold-out concerts and maintain their glamorous public image, they also protect the world from hidden supernatural threats.

Their biggest challenge comes when they face a rival force: a mysterious boy band made up of demons in disguise. These enemies use music, charm, and fame to manipulate fans and gain power, setting up a clash between the two groups.

KPop Demon Hunters’s desire for education and play, and his journey to escape his bonded labor. It also encourages critical thinking about societal issues by showcasing how cultural differences and awareness can challenge dominant narratives of oppression.
