D.P. Roy Choudhury Association organized a Drawing Competition entitled “Canvas of Dreams: Rural Children’s Drawing Competition” for the government school students was held on June 27, 2024 at Solankuruni- Government School, Madurai, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Organized by School of Animation and Media Studies, the event aimed to foster creativity, artistic expression, and a sense of community among young learners.

      The competition saw enthusiastic participation from 80 students in that government school. Students from various age groups showcased their talent and imagination through vibrant and thought-provoking artworks.  Participants were given the freedom to choose from a range of themes, including nature, culture, unity, and innovation. The artworks exhibited a remarkable diversity of interpretations, highlighting the students’ unique perspectives and creativity. The top artworks captivated the audience with their originality and artistic merit. Recognition was also given to participants whose works demonstrated exceptional effort and improvement.

        The drawing competition not only provided a platform for artistic expression but also promoted camaraderie and healthy competition among students. It encouraged them to explore their creativity and express their thoughts through art, fostering a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and environmental conservation. The drawing competition for government school students was a resounding success, celebrating the artistic talents and achievements of young learners. Totally 23 students from II Animation and 2 faculty members were participated in the event.
