The Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science celebrated the International Women’s Day on 08th March, 2021. Ms.R.Sailakshmi, Assistant Professor of Tamil, delivered the Welcome Address.
The Presidential Address was given by the Principal of the college Dr.R.Sujatha, in her Speech she stated that today’s young women generation are having the courage to face this World in all the situation. At the same time, they should also have the mindset to obey their parents and elders everytime without any hesitation.
Followed by the Presidential Address, Dr.S.Priya, Dean-Academics gave Felicitation Address. During her address she wished the female faculty members for being sportive and empowered in all the activities at SLCS. The Girl Students delivered a Song in praising the Principal for her achievements at SLCS in this short period. the Dean-Academics also wrote a Poetry in praising the Principal and the same was presented proudly in the celebration.
Dr.R.Parthiban, IQAC Coordinator shared his wishes to the Women faculty members and motivated them to be bold while facing all the issues in his special address. Dr.Dhamotharan, Assistant Professor of Commerce cum NSS Programme Officer, delivered the appreciation address for the wonderful day. Refreshment was given to all faculty members. On behalf of Women Empowerment Cell many Games were conducted and the day wound up happily. Mrs.H.Geetha, Assistant Professor of Tamil delivered the Vote of thanks.
Totally 40 Teaching & non teaching members and 15 students have participated in the event.
