On 16th February 2016, SLCS & RLIMS along with National Insurance Co.Ltd team conducted seminar on “INSURANCE – In pursuit of a more resilient & inclusive Insurance sector” for the staff members and the students of SLCS & RLIMS. The session was started with welcome address given by Dr.R.L.Ramnath, Principal, SLCS.
Our President Dr.R.Lakshmipathy presided over the seminar with his presidential address about the need of insurance with some real time happenings around India.
Dr.S.Rajasekar, Director, RLIMS explained about the need of the medical Insurance and introduced the team members.
Mr.V.Ponnuchamy, Divisional Manager clearly explained about Insurance and its types. His informative speech about the insurance makes the audiences to think how ignorant we are?. Mr.B.Veeramanikandan, Branch Manager gave an outline about Insurance Industries, General Insurance, Property Insurance and Personal Lines of Insurance. Mr.T.S.Shanthilal, Asst.Manager explained about the Personal Accident Insurance. In his speech he explained the various policies available for people under various categories. Health Insurance, which is the most important among all other insurance, was elucidated by Mr.V.Satish Kumar, Branch Manager. Through this seminar the students and the staff members came to know the importance of insurance, policies and its benefits and also the approaches to claim for Insurance. The session was really wonderful because of the team members explanation about the Insurance with many real time scenarios through interaction. The session ended with the vote of thanks given by Mr.B.V.Eswaran, Asst.Professor, RLIMS.
