The Department of Tamil celebrated 140th birth anniversary of Maha kavi Bharathiyar on 13.12.2021. The verse writing Competition was conducted in the F39 Hall. The competition really benefitted the students to enhance their verse writing skills. The assessment was done by the members of the Tamil Department. Totally 7 Students participated in Verse writing competition. First prize was won by S.Charulatha, II FSPM M.Anantha Krishna, II F&IS got II prize and S.Nishalakshmi, I BBA got III prize

The students were able to expose their Drawing talents through the competition. The assessment was done by the members of the Tamil Department. Totally 7 students participated in the Drawing competition. The first prize was won by A.Aastin Bennyhin Samvel I MCHM, K.Suriya,I B&I got the II prize and G.Vikram, I B&I got III prize
The Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science celebrated the International Women’s Day on 08th March, 2021. Ms.R.Sailakshmi, Assistant Professor of Tamil, delivered the Welcome Address.
The Presidential Address was given by the Principal of the college Dr.R.Sujatha, in her Speech she stated that today’s young women generation are having the courage to face this World in all the situation. At the same time, they should also have the mindset to obey their parents and elders everytime without any hesitation.
Followed by the Presidential Address, Dr.S.Priya, Dean-Academics gave Felicitation Address. During her address she wished the female faculty members for being sportive and empowered in all the activities at SLCS. The Girl Students delivered a Song in praising the Principal for her achievements at SLCS in this short period. the Dean-Academics also wrote a Poetry in praising the Principal and the same was presented proudly in the celebration.
Dr.R.Parthiban, IQAC Coordinator shared his wishes to the Women faculty members and motivated them to be bold while facing all the issues in his special address. Dr.Dhamotharan, Assistant Professor of Commerce cum NSS Programme Officer, delivered the appreciation address for the wonderful day. Refreshment was given to all faculty members. On behalf of Women Empowerment Cell many Games were conducted and the day wound up happily. Mrs.H.Geetha, Assistant Professor of Tamil delivered the Vote of thanks.
Totally 40 Teaching & non teaching members and 15 students have participated in the event.

Verse Writing competition was conducted through Google Meet.The students were asked to write the Verses on their own topics and were informed to Post it through google meet link. For the Verse writing competition, the students were asked to record a video and were informed to post it in the link. The assesment was done by the members of the Tamil Department. 5 Students Participated in Verse writing.The first prize was won by K.Jaiviswa,II BBA. R.Rukumani,III B.com(B&I) got the II prize.

Elocution Competitions was conducted through Google Meet.The students were asked to record a video and were informed to Post it in the link. The students were able expose their speaking talents through the competition. The assessment was done by the members of the Tamil Department. Totally 6 students participated in the Elocution competition. First prize was won by K.Jai Vishwa,II BBA, I.Swetha,II Animation got II prize and K.Ragavi,II B.Com(Honours) got III prize.
