MoU exchange with Ruby Food Products Private Limited, Madurai

Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai signed and exchanged an MoU with Ruby Food Products Private Limited, Madurai on 09.07.2021. This MoU will benefit the students in the areas of knowledge sharing & development, internships and placements. The MoU also helps the company to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility. The MoU was signed and exchanged between Dr.R.Sujatha, Principal, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai Mrs.M.Divya, HR Manager, Ruby Food Products Private Limited, Madurai.

Mini Project

The department of B.Sc., Food Science and Processing Management had conducted  mini project training for the students, to give them hands-on practice, at various food industries. All the students of the III Year completed their training , which is a part of their curriculum during the month of July (01-07-2021 to 08.07.2021) with the duration of 60 hours.

The students have  undergone internship at

  • Aavin – The Karaikudi District Cooperative Milk Producer’s Union Limited
  • Naga Limited Consumer Division Unit-1
  • Thirumurugan Company
  • Perrys Biscuit
  • KMS Confectioneries

The students gained practical experience through participative learning on processing various foods like Milk; Cereals & Pulses incorporated Cookies and Confectionery items in the Food Industries.

Quiz on International Yoga Day

National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science gently guided the students to instantly take a quiz on International day of yoga 2021. 13 students voluntarily participated in the quiz in the month of June 2021 which was efficiently conducted by the Ministry of Ayush and My gov.The Following students were participated in this quiz competition.

Participation in Yoga Appreciation Programme

National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai guided and motivated the students to celebrate the International Yoga Day by participating in the Yoga Appreciation programme during the month of June 2021 under the guidance of Dakshin Yoga Kendra which is organized by the Ministry of Ayush. 11 Faculty Members and 141 students are participated in this programme successfully and have received the certificates.

Workshop on “New Templates of AQAR 2020-21”

The Workshop on “New Templates of AQAR 2020-21” was conducted on 25.06.2021 and 30.06.2021 in F-32 at 2 pm.

All the VII Criterion were explained to all the faculty members. The Principal Dr.R.Sujatha, the Vice Principal Dr.K.Archunan and the Dean Academics Dr.S.Priya took part in the Workshop.

The IQAC Assistant Coordinators Mrs.R.Suganthi Hepzibha and Mrs.K.P.Maheswari explained the key indicators and the metrics of the criterion. The Assistant Coordinators explained that the new AQAR is going to be like the SSR format. So the clarity was given from the SSR-SOPs.

Many faculty members raised the queries and the same was also clarified after having the discussion among the members. The faculty members were also informed about the activities to be done by the Course Teachers, Cells, Committees, Departments, Department Associations and Clubs.

Around 50 faculty members participated and got benefitted. Finally the day wound up by acquiring an overview about the New Templates of AQAR 2020-21.
