An industrial visit was organized for 22 students of II B.Sc. Computer Science
(Security System Specialization) to BSE TECH, Madurai, on 11th September 2026. The visit
was arranged with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to the IT
industry environment, blockchain technologies, and their real-world applications.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the working environment of the
organization and gained insights into the role of technology in modern industries. The
students learned about blockchain technology, its basic concepts, applications, and
significance in the IT sector. The interaction with industry professionals helped the students
understand how the concepts learned in the classroom are applied in real-world technological
environments.
The visit also provided an opportunity for students to interact with industry experts,
clarify their queries, and gain awareness about the skills and knowledge required for pursuing
careers in the IT industry.
A feedback session was conducted at the end of the industrial visit. The students
shared their experiences and expressed that the visit provided them with valuable practical
exposure to blockchain technologies and the IT industry environment. They appreciated the
opportunity to interact with industry professionals and understand the real-world applications
of blockchain technology. The session helped the students reflect on their learning and gain
better awareness of the skills required for their future careers.

The Department of B.Sc. Computer Science (Security System Specialization) organized a workshop on
“OSINT and Digital Investigations” for II & III B.Sc. Computer Science (SSS) students on 28th
August 2026, from 8:50 AM to 1:30 PM. A total of 51 students participated.
The session was handled by Mr. Viswanath Muralitharan, Digital Forensics & Cyber Security
Expert, Vectra Technosoft. The workshop introduced students to Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT),
digital investigation techniques, digital footprints, information gathering, evidence identification,
and verification of publicly available information.
The resource person conducted practical demonstrations on OSINT and digital investigation methods,
helping students understand their application in real-world cybersecurity scenarios. The hands-on
exposure enabled students to connect their academic knowledge with practical aspects of cybersecurity
and digital forensics.
The workshop provided valuable industry exposure and practical knowledge, enhancing students’
awareness and interest in OSINT, digital investigations, cybersecurity, and digital forensics.

The Department of B.Sc. Computer Science (Security System Specialization)
organized a workshop on "Gen AI Security: Prompt Injection & Attack" on 31st July 2026
from 8:50 AM to 1:30 PM for II and III B.Sc. Computer Science (SSS) students. The session
was conducted by Mr. Mohamed Fiaz from Vectra Technosoft.
The workshop introduced students to Generative AI, Large Language Models
(LLMs), and the importance of AI security. The resource person explained prompt injection
attacks, jailbreak techniques, system prompt extraction, indirect prompt injection, and data
leakage, highlighting the need for secure AI application development.
The interactive session allowed students to clarify their doubts on AI security, career
opportunities, and emerging cyber threats. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks. A
total of 56 students participated, making the programme informative, interactive, and highly
successful.
