1. The Department of Commerce (Banking and Insurance) organized a Value Added Course on “Digital Marketing” for the Third-Year B.Com-Banking and Insurance students from 21.09.2026 to 25.09.2026 at 9.00 a.m. in the TVR Hall.

The course was conducted with certification from TN Apex Skill Development Centre for Logistics, with the objective of enhancing students’ knowledge and practical skills in the field of digital marketing. The programme was designed to provide students with an understanding of contemporary digital marketing practices and their applications in business.

The sessions were handled by Mr. M. Christopher Gnanaraj, Senior Corporate Trainer, Soft Skills and Verbal/Business Communication Specialist, Coimbatore. He provided valuable insights into various aspects of digital marketing and emphasized the importance of effective communication and digital skills for professional development.

The course covered important areas related to digital marketing, including digital marketing concepts, online marketing strategies, social media marketing, content creation, digital communication, branding, and customer engagement. The sessions included interactive discussions and practical-oriented activities, enabling students to relate the concepts to real-world business situations.

The programme provided students with an opportunity to develop their digital marketing knowledge, communication skills, creativity, and employability skills. The certification associated with the course also supported students in strengthening their professional profiles and career readiness.

The Value Added Course was successfully completed on 25.09.2026, and the students actively participated throughout the programme.
