The Cuentas Association of the Department of Commerce – B.Com. (Banking & Insurance) and B.Com. (Computer Applications & FinTech) organized an engaging and informative activity on August 08, 2026. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Rahmath Nisha K, which created a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere among the participants.
The first segment of the programme featured a Speech on Education and Self-
Confidence, presented by Ms. Sowmiya G, Ms. Poorvika T, Ms. Dharshini Karthika R, and Mr. Sree Varshan S of I B.Com. (B&I). The session highlighted the importance of education, self-belief, and personal development in achieving success.
Following this, Ms. Uma Bharathi A and Ms. Harikeerthana R of III B.Com. (B&I) conducted a Paper Presentation session. Several students presented their research papers on the topic “Responsible AI: Ethics, Trust, Privacy and Governance”, demonstrating their analytical skills and providing valuable insights into the emerging field of Artificial Intelligence. The presentations encouraged meaningful discussions and enhanced the students’ understanding of ethical considerations and challenges associated with AI.
The programme also included a musical performance, where Mr. Udahya Shankar M of II B.Com. (B&I) presented a keyboard performance, followed by melodious singingperformances by Ms. Lavanya S, Ms. Gopika K, Mr. Shyam Sundar S, and Ms. Poojasri M, adding an enjoyable and creative dimension to the event.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. K. Soundharya of III B.Com. (B&I). She expressed her sincere gratitude to the management, faculty members, participants, and organizers for their valuable support and contributions towards the successful conduct of the programme.
In conclusion, the Cuentas Association activity served as an excellent platform for students to showcase their talents, enhance their knowledge, develop confidence, and actively participate in collaborative learning experiences.
