The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) organized the Students’ Conclave 2026 – Madurai Edition on 13 August 2026 at R L Institute of Management Studies, (A unit under Subbalakshmi lakshmipathy College of Science) Madurai to create awareness on certifications, career opportunities, and industry interaction in banking and finance.45 students from B.Com. Banking & Insurance Department of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College actively participated, gaining valuable exposure and strengthening its association with IIBF.
Renewal of MoU with IIBF
A key highlight was the renewal of the MoU between IIBF and partner institutions, in which B.Com Banking and Insurance Department participated in the signing ceremony. This renewal strengthens the Department’s long-term collaboration with IIBF and enhances access to certifications, industry learning, and career guidance. It also supports bridging academic learning with industry needs and encouraging students to pursue IIBF certifications.
Grand Champion Award – A Proud Achievement
The College was also honored with the Grand Champion Award by IIBF during the award ceremony. This recognition reflects the Department’s active participation and commitment to IIBF initiatives and highlights the collective efforts of students and faculty in promoting professional banking education.
Key Sessions and Activities
The programme included registration, welcome address, and introduction of dignitaries, followed by the MoU signing ceremony. Mr. Deepak Kumar Lalla, CEO, IIBF, delivered an address, and Mr. Bijay Kumar Jha, CDO, conducted an orientation on certifications and banking careers. A Q&A session enabled student interaction, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the College received the Grand Champion Award. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and networking lunch.
