Lakshaya Association, Department of MBA, organized a National Level Colloquium on the title “MIC – MAC – MAN – Talk” on 21st November 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The event was organized to enlighten the students with Micro, Macro and Managerial Economic concepts and its application in decision making.

The program commenced with Prayer. Dr. M. Subramanian, HOD – MBA welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Sujatha – Principal, inaugurated the program. Dr. K. Archunan – Vice Principal and Dr. S. Priya – Dean Academics felicitated the program.

In the first session, Dr. R. Sujatha – Principal – Subbalakshmi Lakshmipahty College of Science, Madurai, started the discussion on the theme “How do Savings and Investment Decisions Impact Personal Financial Goal?

Through the session, students were able to get an insight into various investment avenues and the application of Micro Economic concepts.

In the second session, Dr. S. Puspharaj, Associate Professor & Head – Department of Econometrics, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, discussed “How Prudent Business Decisions were Taken?”. The students were able to relate the application of Economic concepts in business decision making.

The third session was handled by Dr. Gaurav Shreekant, Assistant Professor in Amity Business School on the theme, “Is India ready for a Cashless Economy?”The students were able to understand the application of Macro Economic concepts in policy formulation.

The fourth session was handled by Dr. C. Muthuraja,  Associate Professor & Head (PG & Research), Department of Economics’ The American College, Madurai, on the theme ”How does climate change affect economic activity?” The students were able to understand the role and importance of the external environment, particularly the climate in bridging the gap between production and consumption.

Totally, 131 MBA students ( I Year – 70 , II Year – 61) participated in the program. Dr. D. Abraham Pradeep and Dr. R. Sivajothi were the coordinators.
