The Cuentas Association of the Department of Commerce, B.Com. (Banking and Insurance), B.Com. (Computer Applications& FinTech), organized an engaging and informative association activity on 27 July 2026.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Lavanya S., who set a positive and welcoming tone for the programme. This was followed by the felicitation address delivered by the Head of the Department, Dr. V. Padmavathy, who appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty members and students in organizing such an enriching and meaningful event.

A significant highlight of the programme was the official announcement of the CUENTAS Association office bearers for the academic year. The newly elected office bearers are as follows:

The announcement of the office bearers marked the beginning of a new chapter for the CUENTAS Association, with the newly elected team expressing their commitment to organizing innovative academic and co-curricular activities that will benefit the students and contribute to the growth of the department.

The first segment of the event was a Business Quiz Programme conducted by Ms. A. Gopika (III B.Com. B&I). The quiz was designed to assess students’ knowledge of business, economics, and current affairs while fostering healthy competition and encouraging learning among the participants.The final segment of the event featured an engaging musical performance by Mr. Udhya Shankar (II B.Com. B&I) on the keyboard. This session was organized by Ms. Vaishnavi (III B.Com. B&I), Ms. Umabharathi (III B.Com. B&I), and Ms. Khushboo (III B.Com. B&I). The performance created a lively atmosphere and provided students with an opportunity to appreciate artistic talent while promoting camaraderie and active participation.
