The Department of Cyber Security organized an Alumni Talk on "Future Enhancements in Cyber Security" on 30.6.2026 at F23 with the objective of exposing students to the latest advancements in cyber security technologies and the significance of feature enhancement in intelligent security systems.

The session was conducted by Ms. S.Devadharshini (2023 BATCH), an accomplished alumnus of the department and a Software Developer at Auro itec, Madurai. The speaker shared valuable industry experiences and explained how feature enhancement techniques are applied in cyber security to improve the detection and prevention of sophisticated cyber
threats.

The talk focused on the role of future enhancements in data preprocessing and machine learning models used for cyber security applications. The speaker discussed methods for extracting meaningful information from network traffic, system logs, and user behaviour data to enhance the efficiency of intrusion detection systems, malware classification,
ransomware detection, and fraud prevention.

An engaging interactive session followed the presentation, during which students discussed career opportunities, professional certifications, internships, and research prospects in cyber security. The speaker encouraged participants to strengthen their programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills while actively participating in hands-on projects and
cybersecurity competitions.

The Alumni Talk was highly informative and enriched students understanding of the practical applications of feature enhancement in cyber security. The session successfully connected academic concepts with real-world industry practices, inspiring students to develop advanced technical skills and contribute to building secure digital environments.
