Women Empowerment Cell & Internal Complaints Committee of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science organized a “Campus to Career” Program in association with Indian Women Network (IWN) – CII Held at TVR Hall on 11 August 2026 at around 11:30 a.m., under the
guidance of the College Secretary, Dr. L. Ramasubbu. The program was conducted on the theme “Be Future Ready – Confidence, Character and Competence.”
Mrs. Brinda J. Raghavan, Vice President and Correspondent of Renugadevi Varadaraj College, Sivakasi, delivered the special address. The program was launched by Mrs. Brinda J. Raghavan and Mrs. S. M. Nilofer Fathima, Managing Director of Sethu Institute of Technology (SIT).
In her special address, Mrs. Brinda J. Raghavan emphasized the awareness of developing strong character, self-confidence and essential skills to successfully face the challenges of the modern world. She particularly encouraged the girl students, especially young women, to pursue quality education, develop self-confidence, enhance their talents and skills, and aspire to become
successful entrepreneurs in the future. She highlighted that confidence, character and competence are essential for achieving success in both personal and professional life. The session highlighted the importance of awareness, education, and skill development in promoting women’s independence and empowerment.
A total of 132 girl students participated in and benefited from the program. The Principal, Dr. R. Sujatha, Vice Principal, Dr. T. Gurubaskar, and Dean, Dr. S. Priya, also participated in the event. The program served as an inspiring platform for enhancing girl students’ self-confidence, developing strong character, improving their skills, and preparing them for future career
opportunities.
