Dengue Awareness Program was held on 14.11.2021 at the Primary Health Centre of Valayankulam, Thiruparankundram Taluka on behalf of National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai. The programme was led by Block Medical Officer S. Sivakumar and Block Health Supervisor Mr.Thangasamy along with NSS Volunteers and primary health care workers. They created awareness among the people visiting the health centre. Remedial measures were taken to prevent dengue fever ahead of the monsoon season, especially by desilting the drinking water and keeping the environment clean so as not to stagnate water. The event was co-ordinated by the NSS Officer and 8 volunteers participated in this programme.
