National Service Scheme and Internal Quality Assessment at Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science conducted an awareness program on smoking and vaccination in association with Velammal Hospital on 18-08-2021. In this program, Velammal Hospital Pulmonary and Respiratory Care Physician. Ramesh explained the effects of smoking and the status of medical aids available for the cure. Another speaker who addressed the gathering was Pulmonary and Respiratory Care Physician, Niranjan Prabhakar. He explained the need for the corona vaccine and also its preventive measures. He also answered the queries raised by the participants. In this program Dr. Sujatha, the Principal of the college, Vice Principal Dr.Archunan and the students of Pulmonary and Respiratory Medicine Department of Vellammal Health Sciences participated. Dr Rajesh Kumar, Head, Department of Logistics and Shipping Management organized the event and 375 students benefited from this program.
