The Eco club organised a session to identify the current environmental issues on 11th, November 2020 in Google Meet through Google Class room. Students from various departments participated in this session. The student’s identified various environmental issues and submitted it by write up. 33 students participated in the Session.
The NSS of the college suggested the students to willingly participate in a quiz on Gandhi Jeyanthi. The quiz program was justly entitled Gandhi Jeyanthi in Mygov.in. It was enthusiastically conducted between 2nd October 2020 and 31st October 2020 to commemorate the celebration of Gandhi Jeyanthi. An E certificate was received by all the participants. 17 students participated and gained their certificates for their effective participation. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was solemnly celebrated on 31.10.2020 through a personal pledge on Unity. 35 faculty members cheerfully participated in the pledge. The Principal initiated the pledge and that was followed by all faculties. The pledge was taken to merely preserve and foster the national unity and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar vallabhbhai Patel.
The Eco club conducted the inaugural function online on 21st, October 2020 in Google Meet through Google Class room. Students from various departments participated in this inauguration. The student’s club coordinator Selvi. R.Meenakshi presented a topic on the need to protect environment. 42 students participated in this inaugural function.
National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College appropriately conducted the event entitled ‘Pledge on COVID-19’ on 8th October 2020 to prompt and ascertain a promise against the pandemic. The event was held through google meet (The link for the event is meet.google.com/aay-ruth-vqy) between 11.15 a.m and 11.45 a.m. 38 NSS Volunteers, RRC volunteers and Program Officer took the pledge to aggressively fight against COVID 19.
National Service Scheme of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College enthusiastically celebrated the Gandhi Jeyanthi on 3rd October between 4.05 p.m. and 4.30.p.m at the Seminar Hall of our College. The Program officer Mr. R.Dhamotharan heartily welcomed the chief guest Dr.M.R.Jaya Krishnan, Special Correspondent, Win TV. The Guest enthusiastically addressed the gathering on “Gandhiji as a Journalist.” He instantly revealed several unknown facts about Gandhi ji and this highlighted his major contribution to the field of Journalism. 46 faculty members willingly participated in the program.
National Service Scheme (Unit 105) of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science suggested the students to eagerly participate in Shikshakparv on 25th September, 2020 which was conducted by Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. They organized a webinar on “National Education Policy, 2020” to foster conscious awareness among local NSS/NCC/NYKS/UBA Volunteers. Comprehensively, 62 students participated in the programme. The Eco Club of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai conducted a National level online quiz programme on “Awareness and Prevention of COVID 19. The quiz was conducted from 06-06-2020 to 30-06-2020. The E-certificates were distributed to the participants who scored more than 40 per cent. This quiz consisted of 10 important basic questions on how to fight COVID 19. 385 participants took part in it and got their certificates.
The Eco Club of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai conducted a drawing competition on “Green Environment” to celebrate World Environment Day. The Competition was conducted on 19-06-2020 for the students of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science. The E certificates were distributed to all the participants. Totally 18 students participated.
The Eco club organised a session to issue the face mask to prevent COVID 19 on 23rd, April 2020 in Google Meet through Google Class room. Students from various departments participated in this awareness programme. The students’ issued face mask at various places which is near to their residence and submitted it by write up. 15 students were participated in this Session.
